Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In the center of the horse on the crest I carefully drilled a small pilot hole, using a 1/16" bit, just deeper than the thickness of the crest (1/8") - checking often to be sure that I was drilling into the post and not punching through the crest itself.

If it is under 70 degrees use a hair dryer to warm up the horn pad to ensure the best adhesion.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Santa was good to me this year and brought me a silver crest for my airbag to match my silver hood crest. Here is how I installed it: The crest is fastened to the horn/airbag pad with a 1/4" post that protrudes from the center of the crest (much like the hood crest). #1. In the center of the horse on the crest I carefully drilled a small pilot hole, using a 1/16" bit, just deeper than the thickness of the crest (1/8") - checking often to be sure that I was drilling into the post and not punching through the crest itself. #2. Using a 3/8" bit I drilled into the pilot hole and through the crest until I could pop the crest off the post. A small flat-head screwdriver is helpful at this point. I didn't have to pry hard, once I had drilled through the depth of the crest it basically popped off with little effort. #3 To finish, clean up the spot with rubbing alcohol and stick on the new crest. If it is under 70 degrees use a hair dryer to warm up the horn pad to ensure the best adhesion. Now I match. Very slick.

POST 2Original post

You drilled a hole in the gold crest . What kind of pedals you got there rexracer?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know, it did seem like somewhat of a sacrilege but it was for a good cause. The pedals are Carcrafter.
