Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, My spoiler is squeaking pretty badly when I use the switch in the footwell to raise or lower it. I've already lubed the two fat plastic supporting "hinges" on the sides but the squeak seems to come from the middle of the spoiler (where the actual hidden motor mechanism is, I think). Any idea how to lube it? Thanks, Ahsai

POST 2Original post

i have tried the same to no avail Any thoughts?

POST 3Original post

might have to get 2 people involved, one to push the button and one to actually pin point the squeek... Heres how to dismantle the spoiler... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...howtopic=11667

I sprayed more silicone on the fat hinges. Also, I loosen up all the hex bolts on the black backing plate a turn or two, raised and lowered the spoiler a few times, then retightened the bolts (the mechamism may be twisted a little...a tip from another board) The squeaking is down 90%.
