Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I would test drive all 3 back to back on the same day and then decide.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I currently have a 02 996 with Aerokit. I'm on the list for the 997 TT ths year, but I cant decide if I should spend the extra $$$ on the turbo or if I would be happy with the 997s. I do like the look of the 997s with aerokit but I don't know if I'd be dissapointed power wise anythoughts?
you made me laugh, because that was something I was also considering. Car looks great. I'm not sure what the availability is going to be like on the GT3. Difficult I assume The Turbo is scheduled to arrive this summer. Decisions, decisions. Guess everyone should have these problems.
I suppose the turbo is nice to have, but you said you don't know if a 997s would disappoint you power wise. How about a test drive? I really don't think a 3100lb car with 355hp could be disappointing though.
Well , I wounder what people will tell you here, Lets see are you happy with your 996 C2? Does it have enough power for you.The 997S has lots of power and the TT will have more. Buy what you can afford. Dont take this the wrong way , but your question is pretty silly. seeing how your going from a NA 996.Both cars have more power then what your driving, I can only assum you are dissapointed by your 996.
Well in my case , I skipped the S, and went right up to the TT, it was going to happen anyways, its just the evolution of a Porsche guy, I just saved a pot full of money by saving on the deprecation of the 997 S!!
I agree. One of the most common questions on any forum is what car should I buy, and the responders typically answer the wrong question. They answer the question what car they would buy if they had the money. Every manufacturer builds cars for a specific marketing segment and most of them do a great job meeting the needs of that segment. What every buyer must do is to clearly identify his needs, wants, and financial resources and then make a decision.
If you don't need a useable back seat and want a sports car, you can't go wrong with a Porsche. The next question you must answer is how will the car be used. The GT3 is a great choice for those who want to track their cars on a regular basis whereas the 996/997 C2 is a decent commuter that provides reasonable comfort/amenities, and still offers great performance. In my mind the TT is the ultimate street performance super car. Although I've only driven 996 TTs on two occassions, the power of the twin turbos is absolutely addictive.
Remember that this is what WE think. But the cash is your and you'll be driving it (like you didn't know that)...
I would test drive all 3 back to back on the same day and then decide. TELL your dealership to arrange this as a "pre-condition" to any purchase.
That way when you buy, you'll be happy that you know the answer to "Hmm ... maybe I should have bought xyz ?"
Only problem is that the Turbo will be here end of June. If I pass on this car, I loose my spot. GT# won't be out till end of this year if we're lucky.
