Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If so can anyone recommend the right width and offsets that would work good for my car.

So if I understand this thread correctly,if I am looking for a set of wheels to use on the track for my 2000 C2.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

About to close a deal... The numbers seem to be correct. I want to confirm if these will these fit a narrowbody carerra 2? Is the offset about right?
BBS LMs
19 x 8.5 and have 235 x 35 x 19's (Wheel Offset: +55mm Lightweight: 24.1 lbs)
19 x 10 275 x 30 x 19's (Wheel Offset: +62mm Lightweight: 25.5 lbs)
Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
those are not as light as they seem.... Champion RG5 19" rears are about 19.8 lbs and the fronts are about the same. When you add the weight of the 19" tyre which is also heavier than the 18" sizes.. your car will feel lethargic as if it had a loss in power.
Wow, an extra 5 lbs. per wheel will make my 996 feel lethargic. Guess I better tell my wife and kids I can no longer give them rides in the car. Seriously, unsprung weight does have some effect, but a few pounds different will hardly be noticeable by 99% of the drivers in normal road conditions.
yup.... compared to a 17" setup with PZERO Rosso (lightest of the bunch)... and I'm assuming your going with 295 rear width... your torque loss will be approx 30 lb/ft... that's quite a bit..... its something you will definitely notice.
275 width, not 295 (I would think 295 may rub)... We'll see if there is much of a difference, will report back
FYI - I won't be tracking with these wheels, so a few extra pounds here and there can be sacrificed
they will certainly look nice but I have a buddy that went from 18" lightspokes to 19" RG5 (which is lighter than the 18" lightspokes) and becasue of increased diameter and tire weight his car was noticeably slower.
Here is a great link in case your curious as to why...

So if I understand this thread correctly,if I am looking for a set of wheels to use on the track for my 2000 C2. a 17' would be better than 18' ? If so can anyone recommend the right width and offsets that would work good for my car. Thanks.
depends on the 18" rim... if you get champion RG5 with 265 rears your car will have excellent cornering ability but they do come at a high cost... 17" is the no brainer but if your tracking you will want to invest some $$$ in PSS9 suspension...
