Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I did not tie them back but replaced the bad sensor and rear pads only.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there any way to find out which brake it is? I have all 4 sensors disabled(not connected into the pads) so there is nothing to wear and trigger the light. Never had a problem then all of a sudden, sensor light comes on. I pulled all 4 wheels to check and everything looks normal? Any suggestions?

POST 2Original post

Do you have the sensor wires tied to anything? I do and during a DE a few years ago one wire got caught up in the suspension making the brake light go on. I untangled the wire and black taped it together. See the reason why the sensor light goes is because it breaks a circuit when its in the pad. Take a close look at your wires. If that isn't it look at your brake fluid level. Hope this helps.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, I have the sensor covered in tape and tucked away to the side with a zip tie. I looked to see if any of the wires were rubbing but couldn't find anything. Low brake fluid can trigger the brake wear light?

POST 5Original post

When my sensor brake light came on the dash, I found one rear pad worn through and ready to be changed. The other rear pad needed changing as well. The front were fine and lots of wear on them. MIND YOU. I did not tie them back but replaced the bad sensor and rear pads only. I have 3 new sensors and 2 new front pads ready to be used when needed. So much for tieing back brake wear sensors.
