I just got a V1, and am thinking about getting one of the laser jamming systems (Blinder is likely) in the near term...but will not bother if nobody in the area uses laser systems.

Hi Guys, I just got a V1, and am thinking about getting one of the laser jamming systems (Blinder is likely) in the near term...but will not bother if nobody in the area uses laser systems. It seems that laser can be common or never seen depending on location. I live in Orange County-can anyone provide input on how common they have detected or seen laser setups on the freeways in Southern California? Thanks!

Very common in Chino hills area on the 71 and local city street. I ws following my wife one day (she was trying to race me), just as I was picking up my phone to tell her about the speed traps she was zapped by a laser rader, my V1 didn't even go off the entire time. (As expected). We confirmed the use of laser when I saw the ticket. I was zapped another time on 71, for some odd reason I slowed down right before I was zapped so I was within limit. Just had a funny feeling.

I think laser (LIDAR) is more common down in south OC than radar. I've been zapped with it in Aliso Viejo and San Clemente by the SO.

So at what speed are they pulling people over on the 71? It's 65? Most are running 75-80 minimum with the odd 85er passing you. Are they just shooting fish in a barrel? Picking whoever they feel? That road is my daily commute and I'm always seeing at least one car pulled over. It's hard to understand how they can justify speeding tickets out here where the speed limits are seldom followed.
