Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is a custom euro plate with my current tag number legal in any state that requires a front plate? I was already given a warning at a checkpoint for not having my front plate on.

POST 2Original post

If your state requires a front plate, you can only display the plate assigned to the car by the DMV.

POST 3Original post

Yea here in canada i once got a $103.50 fine for not having the front plate, so i thought i would be smart, and put my plate back on with a custom one as well.............well another $103.50 fine for having 2 plates!! I showed them how smart i was.

POST 4Original post

Lose the plate, order a new one, keep the order documents in the car. Lose the plate, order a new one, keep the order documents in the car. Lose the plate..... Takes more time/cycle with custom plate.

POST 5Original post

i don't bother with a front plate, even though they're required in mass. i got a ticket for it once when i got a speeding ticket for doing 97 in a 65. i think the ticket was $35 and the magistrate threw it out when i said the plate bracket was broken and i was in the process of getting it fixed. (not true or course). the other times i've gotten tickets the cops didn't say anything about the missing front plate.
