Costco also has mobil 1 but doesnt always have the 0W40, I was also able to get the oil filter wrench for $3 from autozone, all the dealers i checked were charging over $20.

I have a new C4S. According to the dealer, the car calls for 0-4- Mobil 1 European formula. They told me I can only get it at their dealership for $7.65 per can. Does this sound right to everyone? Have you found it anywhere else?

M3 owner, I was told by my very reliable mechanic that that weight oil on the newer 996 engine screws around with the Variocam. My 98 build 996 has been on 15/50 for the 1st 2 years, then the dealer filled it with 0/40. Cannot tell the diff. Then again, it's an earlier build.

0W weight gets to the heads faster than 15W on starting. Crank up to 15W when your RSM rears it's ugly head (or valve covers start to drip.) ;-)

hey david, i just ran down to the garage and read the label. it says oil filter "B" wrench on it the brand is "OEM" i think. it looks like a black aluminum material. when i went to the shop they had 4-5 different sizes but this was the only one with 14 flats. I am not sure but i think it is about 73-74 mm, their is no size indicated on mine. they were all roughly the same size in diameter but i knew the porsche one had 14 flats. mine also has a 3/8 inch drive.
