Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good evening, Need some very quick guidance from all of you experts on the price of a 1999 996 meticulously taken care of with all service records, with 27k miles. Options include, leather package, memory/power seats, 18'' turbo rims, cd changer and afew others. The car is an absolute beauty, I had been looking at 997s but this deal just came around. It is currently priced at 35k. What are your thoughts on price? Thank you and I hope this goes through to join the club, it will be a nice change from my Cayenne S . p.s. Sorry to take up space on this forum for such a stupid post.

POST 2Original post

in short, i'd say $35k's pretty much dead on as a reasonable price for that year/mileage/options. CPO would tip it over. i'd bet you could knock a grand or so off that price if you insisted. good luck.

POST 3Original post

no it's not a stupid post. i think $35 is high, being MY99, it can't be a loaded car. no PSM, no xenon light, etc. who's selling? private? p-car dealer? non p-car dealer? i don't think it can be CPOed now since MY99 is too old for CPO program now.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It is not cpo'ed, it is a private sale. It does have an afermarket warranty though.

POST 5Original post

$35k is spot on. I just paid $32.5 for a black on black similarly clean 99 with 30k miles. It had a couple of faults that I felt brought it down a little. I was "happy" with $32.5 based on my search.

POST 6Original post

That seems like a resonable price for the car mentioned. I bought my 99 c2 about 6 months ago with 22,000 miles, sport seats, hi-fi, and 18 inch wheels for $31,500. I felt that I got a really good deal!!!
