I have H&R springs as well, which were also installed by the previous owner.

I am going to use my STOCK STRUTS/SHOCKS and I will be fine with the result.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello panel of experts. I am wondering if a few of you have experience with H&R Sport Springs for 996 AWD P/N 29466 can tell me the straight facts about ride height. The site says that it drops 1.0 inch in the back and 1.0 inch in the front. Quite frankly, that is not what I am looking for because the front of this car seems to point to the moon. What I am looking for is maybe 1.0 in the BACK and more like 1.75 - 2.25 in the FRONT.
What is the real world experience with this spring set?
Purpose: I am not looking to make a track car, weekend racer, XX% better handling, stiffer ride, better jounce, better rebound, faster turn in, etc, etc, etc. All I am looking for is the LOOK! I have my share of race cars and I only want this thing to look good on the road. Really, I am not looking for the benefit of better suspension - just a look to go with my 19" wheels. Thanks in advance for comments and suggestions and I know lots of you have great experience with how to make this car handle but that is NOT my goal. I am going to use my STOCK STRUTS/SHOCKS and I will be fine with the result. It is my prefrence. eric
My car had H&R's on it when I bought it....and while I feel it's close to where it should sit I'd still like to see it a touch lower esp in the front. But I'll be setting up my car soon with coilovers for the track which will remedy the problem.
Here's a profile shot with the springs.

I have H&R springs as well, which were also installed by the previous owner. I think the ride height is about as low as you can go and still avoid destroying your front bumber on a daily basis. I also think the front end is a tad "floaty" under casual driving conditions, but good under compression. This is really due to the stock shock not being ideally matched to the increased spring rate. I will definitely be moving to a complete spring/shock package (perhaps PSS9s) down the road.
Andy and Rob, thanks for the great input! That kind of feedback is exactly what I was looking for. That gives me a good direction for my fabrication. So what I am hearing is that about another 3/4 inch lower for the LOOK. However it could cause some front bumper/spoiler scraping. I appreciate this info very much. eric
