Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
We didn't buy the car when we were already in a situation that meant not driving it much (and it was actually our 4th car at the time (her F150, my Golf, and my Jag)) and she drove it like crazy (it was actually her F150 that did most of the sitting) for the first 3 years until life started changing around the car.

If it wasn't for people like that, we wouldn't have such exceptional used cars to choose from.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sebring and Daytona every year as well as several camping trips and still not over 28,000 miles
I expect I'll get beat out, but since no one else has responded I guess you have to start somewhere.
01 C4 with 66.7k miles on it. 2 RMS replacements early on in life. Sound as a pound and back to being a DD while the P!g is in the body shop.
I just don't get why someone buys cars like these and then doesn't drive them
Ours front loaded it's miles while she was still working and it was her DD so it got it's first 30k in about 2.5 years. Unfortunately she stopped working and we got a bunch of dogs (so road trips are kinda difficult) and now a kid so it only gets driven once every other week or two now
'99 C2, 44.7 K miles on her. We just road tripped this weekend for the first time and put 500 miles on her. She performed flawlessly. I really think she enjoyed stretching her legs! I bought her with 42K around 16 months ago with no intention of having a garage queen. That being said, I'm out of town 3-4 days a week for work and put less than 4K a year on my DD.
Guys, this thread is so full of fail.
DRIVE YOUR CARS, why buy it if your not going to enjoy it if I ever sell it don't by mine if your looking for a garage queen.
2004 AE 66k miles and that is TOO low.
It's not like I have choice what I get to drive every day , I'm a contractor and drive a f150 all day ten, my hobby/sport is offshore sport fishing which
Requires a lot of hauling rods and coolers.
But every chance I get I drive my
996
Really? "Fail?" I enjoy my car immensely and drive it when my life situation allows. I consider my car including when and how I use it somewhat a sign of my success. There is no right or wrong here, just Porsche goodness.
Obviously, YMMV.
99 C2 Daily Driver DIY with 127,545. I consider this low mileage as the car is beautiful, runs perfectly, is reliable and dependable and I feel like I'm just getting started!
I purchased mine in April '12 with 12,500 miles - definitely a garage queen. It's now a daily driver and now has over 29,000 miles - I'm enjoying every mile!
Not really. We didn't buy the car when we were already in a situation that meant not driving it much (and it was actually our 4th car at the time (her F150, my Golf, and my Jag)) and she drove it like crazy (it was actually her F150 that did most of the sitting) for the first 3 years until life started changing around the car. Honestly I would have argued to sell the car years ago, but there is an emotional attachment for her and keeping it costs far less than a divorce would
What I question is the people that intentionally go out and spend what these cars cost new just to park them in a garage and only drive them in "perfect" conditions. I have a friend with a first or second year 997 and he hasn't yet broken 10k on it and it apparently hasn't even been registered for the last couple of years. That's the kind of stuff I'm complaining about.
I know they can. I would think, however, that if you've gotten as far as being able to throw away near 100k or more on a car that just sits there that you'd have a bit more sense than to waste money like that. I guess fools come at all socio-econmic levels though…
I know its all kinds of varying reasons. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be able to get her 996 when by normal means we were in no position to do so. That's probably why my subjective view of "enjoyment" is based on driving it and getting every last dollar I can from it.
The depreciation has been a bitch, but I think we've gotten all of it and then some out of the car.
Damn fine machine
Hopefully we can all agree on that
If it wasn't for people like that, we wouldn't have such exceptional used cars to choose from.
Attention old people: Please carry on with buying expensive cars you do not drive. That is all.
99 Carrera 4 with 40k miles. Just bought it in July this summer. Have put 2000 miles since purchase and love it. I don't even remember my 1987 Carrera.
02 C2 with mega track mods with no track time. previously owned by an older gentleman who decided he was too old to track it. bought in june with 28k. now 31k, 6 track days and plenty more track goodies. enjoy everday that i get to drive it!
I think its nothing to be proud about, just means i think that you are NOT enjoying this DRIVING MACHINE,( but just looking at it(
like it should be ! and low miles brings other problems from what I heard.
just my 0.02 cents
I haven't had much time to drive as I work to finish the remodel of this house. Last week I was chatting with the dry wall guy (also a car guy) about the house and told him one reason I bought this dump was for the clear span two bay garage and my original plan drawings to add a two story bay before my wife became ill.
He was so quick to say "well, with the glass in this place this living room sure would make a nice showroom for those gems you have hidden in the garage". You know, we actually started to discuss how we could make that work.
When I started this post
I just was courious about how
Many low mile cars were out there
Not to suggest low mile was bragging rights .
When given the choice which car to drive, it's always the
996
I've road tripped the 996 to key west yearly, done the blue ridge, tail of dragon, skyline ect many times.
Sebring and Daytona every year as well as several camping trips and still not over 28,000 miles
I've never driven to hardware
Store , grocery s or the mall
Or ever to work , can't believe
I missed out on all those great DD experiences
Do you see low miles doesn't
Equate to (No) driving fun
It equates to All driving fun
Prior to losing my job I drove a 996 every day and almost every where. I didn't intend it to be that way when I bought my C2, I truly thought it would be the fun car for special times. However, once I had the car it became more difficult to walk past it and drive one of the other cars to work. I had a 60 mile round trip and the 996 was just such a good and enjoyable car to make the commute.
Now that I don't have the need to drive as often and many of my trips are to pick up building materials I don't drive the 996 as often but when I do it is truly a pleasure.
So I get what you are saying.
This car was kept in a garage from 2004-2012 when the previous owner died. He never drove it. Bought it a week ago with just under 4000 miles. Can't wait to take it out for a spin next summer.
