I used to run Blizzaks before I switched to Pirelli Winter SnowSport 240s.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just received my winter snows from Tire Rack (details below)
The tires seem like they are too narrow for the rims. They aren't flush with the edge of the rim. Is it possible they mounted the tires on the wrong size rims ? Has anyone seen this before ? I'll try to post photos later.
Thanks in advance for any advice. -Frank

I will putting mine on this week as well - first winter with the car as well. You are lucky to have gotten the Blizzaks. By the time I came to ordering there were only rears left and not front. I had to go with the Pirelli WinterSport at a fairly decent price premium.
Enjoy the car
Did you pick up winter mats ? I went to the local dealership to see if the 997 mats would fit after reading that they should on this forum. They didn't have them in stock but let me try the 991 mats. The passenger one fit, the driver didn't. They are ordering a set of 997 mats for me and I'm going back next weekend.
Thats a great combo, those Sport Editions are as close to a stock style as you can get.
I have the same set up and this will also be my first winter with it. Interested to see how it will do.
Where in the country are you located ?
I used to run Blizzaks before I switched to Pirelli Winter SnowSport 240s. Mine always looked a bit "stretched" on the wheel like that also. That's just the way the Blizzaks fit. The Pirellis seem to have a bit more rubber, but they still don't overhang the wheel like my summer wheels and tires.
Mine are a little narrower as well... They say that helps as well to cut through the snow as well.
Mine are studded, but only go on when there's snow or snow coming in...
I'm only 235 all around, which is fun when we go ice racing.
My 2003 4CS came w stock tires that were 225/40R-18 and 295/30R-18. Not sure if u changed your rear to a 10 from an 11 or it just came that way w after market wheels. I'm not sure these models didn't come with different sets of wheels with different widths on the rear from the same factory. I would have to ask the experts on this board.
