Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all, 928 guy here but I have a friend who just bought a 2003 at what he feels was a very good price. It does have a little interior damage that needs help. Thought I would ask you guys if you've seen damage like in the pics below and if you had any suggestions on the best route to fix or at least make it better. Appreciate any help! He's tried standard cleaning products so whatever this is, it's pretty deep.

POST 2Original post

Fairly common marks, you can remove the console, strip and repaint, some use alumna look Spray can. Or if $ no object go to bumperplugs.com and just get a new finished one. I am not affiliated with the firm.

POST 3Original post

There is a reoccurring listing on the Los Angeles Craigslist for mobile, " Porsche Center Console Refinishing". His before and after photos are impressive. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv...176798732.html

POST 4Original post

Eric at bumperplugs.com refinishes consoles as well... I think it works with a core exchange. He ships you a refinished one in whatever finish you like, after installation, you send him back your old one.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you so much guys, I'll pass all that along. I knew it would be simple for you

POST 6Original post

The center console and a couple other interior parts scratch really easily. I am having fun with it. Everyone who rides in my car gets to sign the center console with their fingernail. Then in the future when I want to re do it, I will just pull it, sand it and dye it.
