With that said, I would also highly recommend stock OE components due to fitment and ease of installation.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Gents-
I am asking for a bit o'help as I have both limited time and computer access here in Iraq and this limits my ability to research the issues on my own. Hence I have to ask for your indulgence amd the collective wisdom of the community with 2 questions at once....
1. Seat: I have back problems and have figured out through much expensive trial and error that I need a hard bottomed, flat backed seat for my 03 911 C2. It is a daily driver and I want to use the standard seatbelts. Ease of installation, seatbelt compatability, and to some degree, cost (I am a family man after all!) are all factors. Sizewise, I am 5'11", 180 lbs, athletic build.
Here is what I am considering:
1. Recaro Pole position
2. Recaro Sportster CS
3. Sparco Evo 2
4. Momo Start/Supercup
5. Porsche GT 2/3 seat
Any thougts/advice? Any others I should consider? Only need one and used is OK.
2. Body work. I am considering going with the GT-3 look for my car. It already has the rocker panels, and I am looking at an new front bumper and a rear fin. I have seen several types of materials and several companies, with prices varying widely. Any recommendations onthe best bang for the buck?
Much thanks!
Brian
For one thing Brian...Thank you for your service.
I'll do my best to answer your questions:
I would highly recommend the Porsche GT3/GT2 seats. I myself am 6'6" and I find them VERY comfortable and they bolt right in with no problems. The others listed will likely have fitment issues with finding the proper mix of brackets to make them fit.
As for body panels...when talking aftermarket, definitely checkout MAShaw.

Mike Shaw has been know in the business of making aftermarket body components for years. Good guy who is VERY knowledgeable.
With that said, I would also highly recommend stock OE components due to fitment and ease of installation.
Hope that helps. Good luck.

Brian, thanks for protecting us. Here is the company that I just bought my factory MK1 aero kit side skirts from. I did some research before I bought my MK1 aero kit and their prices were hard to beat.

These seats are for sale here in the member to member section for $1,400 for the pair. They look fantastic.
Please be safe and God Bless you & your family.
Gents-
Much thanks for the advice! My tour is winding down and i am looking forward to getting some tires, seats, and body work added...

Brian
