Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I have read that you shouldn't use a clay bar on the finish too often, because it scrapes a layer of the clear coat off (microscopic sized).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

so i clay barred my p-car on sunday and had my wife take a photo.
the sunlight streaming on the car is real. no photoshop. thought it looked neat.
and yes, i need an aero kit. i thought that i wouldn't, but it's growing on me. also, the pumpkins have been replaced with clear with yellow bulbs since sunday.
you might notice the ultraman on the back. . .he adds 100 bhp, i swear!
I have read that you shouldn't use a clay bar on the finish too often, because it scrapes a layer of the clear coat off (microscopic sized). Use it too much, and it can wear down the clear coat. Not sure if this is true, but there is a write up about it at

Looks great!
My car is desperate for a good clay barring and detailing! If I can just find the time...
It's a nice shade of green right now, I hate pollen!
The 911 is the elder so it gets the Garage, It's earned it after 12+ years of loyal service
I have a high quality cover for the 996 but of course I only put it on if the car is clean and I have been driving the hell out of the thing since it's been so nice out!
One car garages suck...
No kidding! Fortunately, my wife reluctantly agrees that the 996 gets to live in the garage. It would be pretty hard to maneuver 2 kids in and out of an Accord in my skinny garage anyway.
Yeah, don't use the clay bar more than once a year or even twice a year depending on your climate and the way you regularly wax/polish the surface.
I only do my cars every 2 years with polish and wax throughout those two years.
Nope, you just need a spray bottle w/ special lubricant and work it like a polish or wax- maybe even w/ a lighter touch. The clay bar w/ lubricant skims over the paint service and removes (pulls out) microscopic particles. You'll be able to feel the difference.
You guys can also try to order from here:

You can also ask the owner, Chris, some questions. He's a good guy. I buy my stuff from him.
use the clay bar AT MOST once every 2 years.... pay attention to how smooth the surface feels after you clay it.... then compare it every year.... if you wax every 3 months you shouldn't have to clay more than once every 2 years... if that... probably every 3 years.... twice a year is a waste of time and unecessary....
