Apparently Porsche used a unique design for 2002 and 2003 cars, so I really need one from one of those years.
Leading evidence: 'Use unique design' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check sticker vange posted' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My fellow 2002 C4S owners, I need some help. I'm trying to have the window sticker for my 2002 C4S recreated, and I need an original to get the syntax and nomenclature correct. Apparently Porsche used a unique design for 2002 and 2003 cars, so I really need one from one of those years.
Do any of you have an original sticker that you could scan and/or photograph for me? It needs to be a C4S.
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for that. I appreciate it.
The only thing I need to see now is exactly how the standard equipment for the C4S was packaged and presented on the sticker.
Hey Dennis - I totally forgot i was supposed to send you the pic - sorry crazy busy @ work right now - i will also do it over the weekend. Mine is an 04 4S Cab
I think I have the original window sticker from my '02 C4S in the maintenance records that came with the car.
I'll join the race to be the first to post a copy of one.
Never!
I would like to have a window sticker for my own files, and so I'm trying to recreate one. When I bought my car, the original owner had good maintenance records, two keys, etc. He did not have the window sticker though.
I have somebody doing the work for me, but he needs a good original so that we can get the nomenclature correct, option pricing, etc. I've got one already for a C4S that's very similar to mine, but getting another would be great.
Thanks to everybody for the help!
Kent, is it possible for me to get a copy of that scan, also? I have a 2003 Tiptronic, so it should match up closely.
Dennis, is the person recreating the window sticker a friend, or someone/company that does this work?
Thanks, Dana
dennis, i think u've started something. 2003 4CS here and i would luv to have the window sticker as well. pls PM me the guys info if he can do this for me, and for sure, thanks so much!

Sorry it took me so long to post this. Here's a link to the website:

Chris is working on my reporduction sticker. He's a rennlist member.
Chris is currently working on a window sticker for me, also. Does anyone with a 2002+ 996 have the "painted seat backs" option or the Tiptronic/Handbrake in "Aluminum Look" option? If so, do you have the original window sticker? We're trying to decipher the syntax for these 2 options. Currently, we think it would read:
XSA - Sport Seat Back Pntd Extr Clr
Y23 - Tip/Handbrake Lever Alum Lk
The 3-letter codes wouldn't appear on the window sticker, just the description/cost. Just trying to verify wording, abbreviations, etc. Any help is appreciated!
No, I have the codes.....I was looking for the syntax (wording, abbreviations, etc.) of how these two options would be spelled out on a window sticker.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Thanks Vange, I appreciate you uploading the sticker. Right off the bat I noticed the "smog rating scale" was a little different than the one Chris was using. So, thanks for helping out. Looks like we nailed most everything else, except for some of the syntax on certain options.
Thanks for the interest. Working with a few of you on window stickers.
PCNA is notorious for breaking protocol on format and syntax on these things. Sometimes I wonder if there are more exceptions to the rules, or more rules to the exceptions. Its not entirely uncommon to have an identical Porsche with identical options from the same year show slight differences in the original sticker. Neither one is more or less correct than the other, and all of my attempts are to meant to emulate an existing example either way for period correctness.
I spend quite a bit of time reconciling these multi-acceptable format situations when an owner sees a draft I sent them and then finds another sticker where its slightly different. In most cases unless I've turned sloppy (and on occasion I overlook something), this is where I illustrate to owners where PCNA chooses to skin the cat multiple ways.
I could write a 10,000 word essay on some of the WTF moments Ive encountered in the 2 years I spent doing nothing but R&D. In a lot of instances there are just flat-out errors or omissions in the originals. In many ways, PCNA window stickers are a lot like PCA COAs -- short of perfection.
Chris, over at StuttgartStudios, just completed the reproduction window sticker for my 2003 C4S. It's about as spot-on accurate (given some inconsistency by Porsche, as Chris mentioned) in appearance and detail as you can get. I can't recommend him enough, if you're interested in getting one done. The link is a couple of posts up.
Thanks to Dennis C. for starting the thread and posting the website.
A happy customer.....
Interesting thread.
This just highlights the importance of saving and preserving the original window sticker, which I've been doing for each car that I buy for the last 20 years. Each time I sold my car, the buyer has been very happy to have the original window sticker as well as all the maintenance records (which I presented in a three-ring binder). I also get an extra brochure for the year of my car and save it for the buyer.
BTW, one more thing I started to do after I saw it at a concours was to make a color photocopy of my window sticker, then have it laminated.
just got mine back from chris at stuttgard studios....im very happy!!, i was able to provide alot of info about the car to chris and he was able to match everything up(options etc)almost to the dollar.based on the original Certificate from the factory its gonna look good when i show the car at the concours events in my area!
Chris finished mine and it looks great.
Here's a copy of one of the proofs during the process - a few minor corrections have been made on the final. Chris - I hope you don't mind me posting it.
