Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The light stayed ON continuously and ABS/PSM did not work.
driving home and got a message on the tach - ABS/PSM failure, drive to workshop
what does it mean? is it urgent? turned the car off to open the garage, started back pu and no notice - help/advice please - thanks
Sometimes if you drive off a ramp, one wheel comes off the ground. Leaving a gas station for instance. You cross diagonally and perhaps brake. If one wheel is off the ground it confuses the ABS system and you get a warning. Drive long enough and it goes off. Otherwise shut down and restart and it clears the code. If it doesn't happen again (codes and light), ignore it. With low cars like the GT3 this is fairly common. Could this have happened to you?
Turn the ignition ON, depress the brake padel x times. If lights come ON, then replace the brake switch. It costs around $10. Happened to a few rennlisters.
A malfunctioning brake switch causes that problem. It's a cheap fix. The switch is located on the front side of the brake pedal post near the hinge at the top. To confirm, the next time that you have the problem, have someone check to see if you have brake lights. If you don't, then it probably is the switch.
Happened to me today, wheel came off the ground miniute or two later abs come on. Cleared it with durametric started the car again no light, boy that's a nifty little tool.
