Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

so no change there.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hey guys, So I'm new to this forum and new to the 996. I picked up a 2002 C2 Cab, and I'm not a fan of the plain front carpets. Where can I order logo carpets? any specific sites? thanks

POST 4Original post

Welcome! So, how about some photos? (Tim, you're slipping - do that again and I'll slap you silly! )

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

WOW guys... awesome! Just ordered the Savannah w/ red edge and red thread or the Porsche Logo! Will be posting photos soon... once the snow clears up here in NYC. But the car is Guards Red (hence the red edge & thread), factory aero kit, beige interior, factory Nav, park assist... all in all it has every feature that was available for that year expect the heated seats, since it was a one owner car from Miami they were not necessary.

POST 6Original post

I would love to see what they look like when you get some pics up, I was wondering if the lloyds mats secure to the stock velcro tabs or otherwise. (Mine were ripped off somehow). Definitely keep that car out of the snow here (I'm in East Village)

I have the Lloyd's mats and have been very happy with them... Mine are black with a Silver (they wouldn't do white) logo, although the logo looks more like light black (for lack of a better description) now after about three months of use... These mats don't (or at least mine don't) have velcro tabs... they have plastic tabs that sits over the seat rails bolts ((after you remove the bolt caps) on one end and then clips on the back of the mats that connect to the plastic tabs on the other end... it all works nicely and I highly recommend them... Thanks! I am tired of these mats interfering with my pedals. I will order some soon.

That's your best excuse? Senility? Too much alcohol?

POST 12Original post

It's the Holiday Season.... I was trying to be helpful? OK..... how about this one?..... My 2009 New Year resolution is to be nice to the Newbies, so I was trying to get into the habit of of being nice to them? Uhm, I see that one isn't going to fly either! OK... OK... in a moment of weakness, I forgot to look at how many posts he had and just posted the link. I guess I'll get a lump of coal in my Christmas stocking for that Fau Paux!

POST 13Original post

Quotes source post: 6116616

That's an excuse I can take. I don't want to hear any talk of being nice to newbies. My new years resolution is to only use my smiting stick once a week and only on the truly deserving... so no change there.

POST 14Original post

Nice color combo on the p-car! Here is a pic of my mats (Lloyds).

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Pelican called to confirm my order, fantastic customer service... should receive mats in 2 weeks! Will post photos then. Don- great job with the mats and pedals. Dave- where do you get service done in NYC? Everyone - How long do you warm the engine before driving? -Ben

POST 16Original post

Quotes source post: 6118029

manual says "Do not let the engine idle to warm up" keep the r's below 4200 for 5 minutes and drive at moderate speeds DO NOT seems fairly clear.

POST 17Original post

Quotes source post: 6118029

Ben, A minute or two, then drive off gently until temp gauge come up to 180; don't let it idle to warm up; read the OM. HTH

Ben, I didn't bring my car to the city (it sleeps in a warm garage in New Orleans for the next 3 months) so I cannot give you first hand advice about service in this area. I did read a couple of threads on this topic when I was debating taking it with me, here is one of them http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...rvice-nyc.html
