Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So what did you get your 996 for Christmas? Personally I finally bought a set of painted bumperettes

POST 2Original post

Let's see... I did get 1:18 scale model 997 RC car... Arctic Silver just like my 996 cab in the garage... But the big present was the concession from the wife to get the pair of side rocker panels that go with the new bumper cover I'm getting (back in October or so, someone hit my car in the work parking lot hard enough to put a tear in the front bumper cover...) I'm getting the turbo bumper cover in addition to the side rockers and having all three pieces shot at the same time... hopefully by this time next month I'll have pictures of the face lift to show... I got a lump of coal, and a small one at that!

POST 4Original post

Rudy, can't wait to see the Turbo front bumber cove and the side skirts on your car!

POST 5Original post

Tim, Me too! Is what I'm doing called a "turbo conversion" (or does a "real" turbo conversion include engine mods?). I was going to solicit opinions on what I had in mind... not that it would change my mind, but to get an idea of what "conventional wisdom" thought... either way, I like the way a "stronger chin" looks and have lusted after the turbo bumper since I got her... and you simply must have the side skirts (or so my whining went...) Not sure about the turbo rear bumper cover (yes, your *** does look big in that...) and the wing... maybe something small and stylish, like the aero kit wings... but not sure about that either. Happy holidays! Rudy ----------------------------------- '01 Arctic Silver/Black C2 Cabriolet '03 Silver F-150 Supercrew

POST 6Original post

I guess that would be the "turbo look conversion." You may want to consider adding the turbo or C4S rear bumper cover. Of course that will have to be down the road a bit so you can practice your whining a little more. Did you see Joaquin's post of the turbo bumper his friend did? You might want to flag that for future reference. You can't use the taco wing on your car because it would interfere with the operation of the soft top. You will need to do something low to allow the top to operate unabated.

Porsche Design cologne and a belt...Looks like it's up to me for the stainless pedals......

Some work in oils, other in water colors... I seemed to have discovered something of a new talent... aside from the rockers, that's what "expedited" the acquisition... but, like anything else, practice, practice, practice... Yes I did see Joaquin's post on the bumper... beautiful... and maybe beyond me, I'll see what can be had without modification... Good to know about the taco wing... I just checked - none of this was on page 1 or 2 of Tim's modification bible... did I skip ahead? Rudy ---------------------------- '01 Arctic Silver/Black C2 Cabriolet '03 Silver F-150 Supercrew
