Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, After coming back from a three weeks vacation, I took the car for a spin, and realized i cant break. there was no power when breaking. at first, i thought the tires/breaks are cold, so i kept on driving it for a while, trying to warm it up. but the results were the same. loose of power when breaking. (it feels like it takes longer and that brilliant feel of breaks biting the tires is gone) I've checked my break fluid, and its filled to the top. there is no weird noise when breaking either. anything i can check by myself before going to the dealer? i would like to repair it myself if its simple enough. ps - i've started to feel decrease in breaking power prior to my vacation. but after 3 weeks, it feels like the breaks are GONE. thanks for your help! E.

POST 2Original post

I'd look for any cracked brake lines or leaks. Even a tiny leak can dramatically reduce your braking performance (may be so small you're not seeing a drop in the fluid level). Often these leaks are only apparent under pressure so you may want to have someone work the brakes while you're doing the inspection. Of course this assumes you have plenty of pad material left....

POST 3Original post

You either have a leaking vacuum hose going up to the brake booster or the booster itself failed (diaphram ruptured).

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
