Also we are going to make carbon fiber panels so I will test on my car and post pics.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey everyone! I just got my first Porsche after alot of high powered Japanese cars.
Here are the first pics of it. Tons more to come in modifications. Ideas, opinions, or questions...
i wouldn't change a thing, its perfect. aerokit cup 1 is my favourite EVER.
only thing i would do would be is mabye add GT3 seats, rollbar/harness (if it doesnt have these already)
I got B&B headers, SuperSprint exhaust and catpipes, Sparco seats, Sparco steering wheel with quick release, Sparco harness bar, B&M short shifter, and some other small bits going in on tuesday or wed. Will post pics of install.
I might get some new wheels from Iforged. I want to do Black with a polished lip then get the StopTech 6piston brake kit in blue...
are you in the USA?
if so, does the steering wheel have an airbag?
i would KILL for some MOMO wheels out there, but the lack of an airbag makes it a big headache
i dont understand why momo can't make airbag wheels as nice as this, i mean the one in modern ferraris is this exact one, except with an airbag.
Thanks for the props! I will be setting up Vendor advertising and redoing our Porsche section. We also manufacture. Will be updating soon our status here.
In the mean time...Any good enthusiast sites to check out as well.
No - I can help you.. I think it's wonderful you stepped up to a Porsche. Congratulations.
Now - keep your free advertising out of your posts. To help you - I edited your post above.
Thank you.
John
the best 996 i have ever seen was:
a Carrera 2 ,
white
full GT3 bodykit,
blue Carrera strip on the doors,
blue painted center of the GT3 wheels,-outer rim was left aluminium,
blue seat belts
and of course GT3 seats.
car looked amazing and of course it did remind me the legend 911 2.7 RS '73
on my car which is black i will do the same, but instead of blue the colour will be orange, again from the 911 2.7 RS '73. seen this combo on a black 964 C2 and looked again stunning.
has anyone in his archive any of these foto?
i have seen them both in different 911 & porsche world mags.
enjoy.
concerning engine mods, do a research on related topics.
Looks nice. Time for some crested center caps -- not a big fan of the black caps.
I too just bought a 996 cab to replace my 94 RX7 TT. Congrats for the nice car. Time for some interior shots.
I'm getting a DVD Navi (Kenwood or Eclipse) sometime soon. I also want a CF rear center console to dress up the black interior.
I mostly did road racing with my EVO VIII. I bought this as a daily driver. I will take it out for a run or 2 but building a S13 for my full time race car. When I road race, i like to push the limits and really race...so I need something I can hit a wall and laugh about it!
I am doing the Clarion 935 DVD, CD, MP3 unit. Also we are going to make carbon fiber panels so I will test on my car and post pics. After I get the seats in I will post pics up!
Thanks
DAN
Ehrr, you sure you want Clarion? I have had a Clarion HU, CD changer and they all crapped out on my within a couple of years. I'd never buy Clarion ever in my life.
I think Kenwood, Alpine are much more reliable.
Yeah I will probably go Kenwood or Pioneer. I am good friends with the guys at Rockford Fosgate so I will be scoring the hook up there.
The LMs are 19x10 and 19x8.5 I am selling them for new wheels.
Update on install - Steering wheel is in. Looks good. Milano seats do not fit as they are too wide to slide back, this is a bummer. So will find a new solution soon. Maybe Recaro. I need a reclinable seat or I would but the GT3 seats in. I will be selling my factory seats too. Harness bar and new SuperSprint exhaust to be installed tomorrow so pics coming soon!
Minus the stickers, the best looking 996 I've ever laid eyes on, period.
Screw the Porsche caps. Enough with the logos. Everyone knows it's a 911 and that's it's made by Porsche. Stick with the BBS centercaps. The BBS LMs --> best looking sports car wheels ever made. The marriage to the 911 is absolutely proper.
Perfection. I love it!!!! More pics, man.
