Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

37 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=10156 They have been trying to unload this car FOREVER!

POST 2Original post

They should finally give up and paint the car a standard Porsche color and they could probably sell it in a week.

POST 4Original post

I couldn't do that car. Waaay too stressful trying to decide on what color Bumperplugs to use. Blue? Yellow? Check out the head-on shot. Perhaps they could use it in the next Batman movie. "Over $130K invested", 50% of that for barf bags.

POST 5Original post

Three words- " PIMP MY RIDE"-that is sheer crime to butcher it that way. Regards. Mike

POST 10Original post

Sheesh! I thought we got rid of that disgusting tin shed. Why do people do this. It's beyond me? Maybe its owned by a descendant of Janis Joplin. Mind you at least her 356 was tasteful. Here's some more Weird paint jobs.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh the horror! The humanity! I need a pint!!!!

POST 12Original post

that last one is pretty crazy...i'd drive it..or put it on display in my house..whatever u do with it. the purple ant one is ****ed tho.

POST 13Original post

What a freaking joke!!! The seller claims: nearly $5000 in carbon fiber exlusive interior appointments. I say: Where? The only CF I see is the shift column and handbrake... Where's the rest? The seller claims: The pictures do not do the car justice. I say: what the hell would do justice to this thing?!?... It says all over this thing is guilty and deserves the death penalty in the form of RMS failure, blown engine, and blown tranny. The seller also claims: You cant drive this car anywhere without crowds gathering. I say: I'm sure just to beat you up!

POST 14Original post

$8,800 on budnick tires and wheels? last i checked 4 budnick wheels and tires were $1500-$2000 for 18s.. besides aren't budnicks for rednecks with trucks.. what the hell are they doing on a porsche... i think the owner of this car proves that liberace is still alive... he's been hiding out... they never did find his body did they.. makes you wonder.... the even sadder thing is, there is actually a bidder for $32,000 for that.. thing...

POST 16Original post

i don't know about that one... i don't think there's a clown alive that would be caught dead in that thing...

POST 18Original post

Oh cummon now, no Porker deserves that lot thrown at it. It's not the Porsches fault that some dum brained human did that to it. A new set of wheels and a paint job and you get yourself a nice 996 cab cheap. The poor thing is crying out to be loved by someone.....I bet it would give you a lifetime of trouble free fun.......well except the RMS once or twice and maybe a gearbox.....hell maybe an engine too... Oh OK then I give up you win

POST 19Original post

I dunno guys, it's still a Porsche. I'd take it for 40 grand.

POST 20Original post

I have a convertible 996 that i'll sell to you for $40k

POST 22Original post

Perhaps the new owner could play a "Three Blind Mice" looping tape and sell ice cream from the trunk.

POST 23Original post

I have told the story before. I took this pic 3 years ago when the car was at my dealer for service. In person it is a quality paint job - looks like a surf board. Looks a lot better to me in person then the ebay pictures. I spoke to the salesman who sold the car when it was new. A lady in the Bay Area owns it. She is a pilot and also has a house in Arizona. Do not know if she stills owns it but at least it explains why it is now in Arizona. The rear license plate when I saw it had the tail number for a plane registered in Oregon. She bought another Porsche and wanted to trade it in at my dealer, but they did not want it. This is about the third time I have seen it on ebay.

POST 24Original post

porsche didn't want it? i can't imagine why...

POST 25Original post

yeah no kiddin...she should just repaint the whole car using that blue that's on the front bumper right now.

POST 26Original post

Someone on another board found a picture of her garage.

POST 28Original post

LOL, I knew exactly which car this was without even clicking the link.

POST 29Original post

Ugh........ I wonder what happened to that pink pearl 996 in Florida, that was for sale last year. Rumor was - it had been matched to a gals' nail polish. She had to be blonde........

POST 30Original post

Is this what your talking about..... I can't tell for sure but it looks like a Boxster to me. This one is not exactly my cup-of-tea either but it sure isn't as bad as Ms Psycadelic's 996 cab

POST 31 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's not it...but scary how similar it is. Can't beleive there are 2! The other was a pink 996 with paint to match pink sport designs if I am not mistaken.

POST 33 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Berny, that is too funny. FYI.....I just saw one with that same paint scheme (camo) at the CES in Vegas this past week in the car section.

POST 34Original post

and for that person... whoever said females are the more intelligent species, must have been one... there can be no other answer for these disgraces upon a metal object intended for on-road use.

POST 35Original post

That's the one............... butt ugly....... I don't know if it's true - but they said you have to change the oil & filter at the end of every month, right after it refuses to start.........

POST 36Original post

Wow, since when did Humvee start making GT3's?

POST 37Original post

Well, can't disagree with the statement "pictures don't do the car justice". Arson might do the car justice, or a crusher. This one screams "unpimp my ride!" AS
