Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Interesting. The Porsche family has so much money, it will be interesting to see if they wind up selling their stake in VW if things don't go as well as planned. Must be nice living in various castles!

POST 3Original post

Porsche isn't viable without scale. They had to do this. Their options were to sell, merge or buy. Fortunately, they had a pantload of capital, so they could buy... not usually how these things turn out. Given that the status quo wasn't an option, I'd have to say this was good news for Porschephiles.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have mixed feelings. I could easily see that they could get their asses handed to them in the same way that Daimler did with Chrysler. They'll have to be very careful in how they proceed.

Without a doubt. Just because they had to do it doesn't mean they can't fail at it.

"Volkswagen Panamera" doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
