Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It doesn't make sense to buy used now(unless it's an insanely good deal).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A post from a BMW board. "I was at Champion in Florida. But the collection is also doing it as are a lot of dealers in Autoweek. They are getting the first shipments of 997s in August so they need to get rid of inventory. It doesn't make sense to buy used now(unless it's an insanely good deal). The dealers are willing to sell for invoice minus dealer incentives." Anybody know about current discounting?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Checked multiple dealers this evening. Could not confirm. . . Ahh, the joys of the internet.

POST 4Original post

I went to my local Porsche dealer last night, and asked a salesman about significant discounts on the anniversary addition. I asked if Porsche was offering around $15K discounts on the anniversary edition. He replied that Porsche was offering discounts but not that large. Immediately after he made that statement the Porsche Sales Manager walked by and said that that they are indeed offering $15K discounts. The car in question listed for $92K. So without any negotiation, they were willing to sell it for $77K. I'm thinking low $70s is possible, especially towards the end of the year.

POST 6Original post

I just stopped by my dealer, told my salesman friend I thought 40th's were going for +- $17K off - he didn't think so. Then I saw my friend the sales manager and asked him what they sold their last 40th for - he said about $78K (which was $16K off), and he confirmed the $10k factory rebate.
