Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I got bored, went to tech then ran a low 14 @102 mph.
Leading evidence: 'Run low 14 @102 mph' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend skipping the pre-stage burnouts though' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Back when I had my C5 Vette, I'd drag it about 2-3 times per season, and it ran mid-12's in the 1/4 and about 4s in 0-60 but there were always many cars there that were much faster.

Suggestion
I'd definitely recommend skipping the pre-stage burnouts though.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anybody ever take the P-Car to a drag strip if so what kind of times have you gotten? Bunch of guys at work have been buggin me to go for test and tune night. Thinking about it for this thursday. Do you all think it's wrong for a P
orsche?
I do, but it's fun anyways. If this is your first time dragging don't expect great times on your first run, but here's a hint, deepstage as much as possible (usually means a 12 inch rollout), i.e. only go forward enough to just turn on the staging lights (the second row).
I would do it in my 4S if the opportunity presented itself. You're probably likely going to get slower times than most of the cars out there, but if you're doing it just for the curiousity of your P-car's performance and for fun, go for it. Back when I had my C5 Vette, I'd drag it about 2-3 times per season, and it ran mid-12's in the 1/4 and about 4s in 0-60 but there were always many cars there that were much faster. Don't drive through the water box. The radial tires will drop water on the track and people will not be happy. Reduce the tire pressure. I haven't dragged mine but there is certainly nothing wrong with it. You should get deep into the 13s which is faster than a lot of the cars out there.
I agree with everyone else that Porsches are made for the track and not drag strip, but if you don't mind abusing your car some, go for it. Like slaaw said, don't be surprised if you get beaten by what you perceive to be an inferior car. Lots and lots of guys run in the 12s.
Oh take it and have fun, its just a car, i have taken mine, mind you i don't beat it coming off the light , but i drive it. Mine ran a solid 13:20. If the purists think take it to the track then let them , its your car and enjoy the hell out it.
I just saw a show last night where Porsche was trying to break the standing start record for a closed course with a Carrera GT. If you don't think Porsche cares about standing starts you'd be mistaken. Plus some races are standing starts.

"Oh right, forgot that. Drop the rear tire pressure to like 25psi, keep the front good and high though"
Mine is a C4...should I lower the front tire pressure also?
I don't know much about the C4S but when going in a straight line isn't like 80% of the power at the rear wheels? I would leave the front's normal I think, maybe drop them to like 35.
