Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What if any are the Track options in Las Vegas? How do you go about getting on and what are the requirements? When do they usually make it available? The only thing I have heard of is the Friday night drags at the speedway.

POST 3Original post

There is a road course out in Pahrump, I havn't been to it yet, though. I think PCA does a couple days a year out there, Dell could probably give you better details.

POST 4Original post

The Pahrump track is where we do our (local PCA chapter) track events. If you are not a member of PCA yet, join and specify your region as the Las Vegas Region. Then you will start to get our local newsletter which has stories, calendars, track events listings, etc. We just finished up our track season a little over a month ago but there are several events starting back up in the early spring. I do not have a copy of the latest newsletter with me but ping me later and i will get the schedule to you.

POST 5Original post

I think the Sin City chapter of the BMWCCA has a DE at LVMS at least once a year.

POST 6Original post

LVMS is a great track but nothing like the Pahrump track, especially now with the extension. I thoroughly enjoy both but much prefer Pahrump.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thx for the info... Is it reasonable for me to consider beginner level track with a stock 2001 c4 Tip? I just want to explore the edge of the vehicle in a legal manner...enjoy the thrill where I will not jeopardize my DL.

POST 8Original post

Scout....not sure what you mean by beginner level. It is NOT based on car but rather track experience. If it is your first time, then you are student class. Then you graduate to beginner, then to intermediate, then to expert. BTW, it is a blast to learn how to control a car like this in a closed environment

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There ya have it, I would certainly be included in the Student Class...my only track experience is driving the C4 home from SAC to LV last saturday and spending alot of road time on the schuylkill expressway in Philly during my formative years! So I take from your response that the stock c4 is fine for student track events.

POST 10Original post

Your stock C4 is still far superior to many of the other P-Cars that will be out there. Remember, it is the driver that makes the car though. I have seen old SC's beat new GT3's around the track. These cars can handle WAY MORE that you can imagine. In fact, the bast thing you can do is learn to drive your car in its stock form BEFORE mods!

POST 11Original post

One other thing...I just noticed that my avitar pic is actually from LVMS! That left sweeper I am on is right before the hard right entering the front straight. That is a FUN sequence

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Which car are you in? Where can I find the minimum requirements for the student events (such as Personal Protective Equipment, vehicle specs etc)?

POST 13Original post

I am in my modded 996CAB. As for requirements......long shirt, long pants, closed toe shoes, SA95 or newer helmet. That's it! I use quite a bit more (gloves, 6pt harnesses, et.c) but only since I have moved up in class, speed, and safety needs.

POST 14Original post

Oh yeah, and the car must pass tech inspection.
