This is not a probability of success.

It was the perfect gift and since we were married on July 4th, we're always taking a vacation someplace nice on our anniversary.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is it your birthday? Father's Day? Christmas? Wish your wife would buy you something other than new underwear (even though you probably need them) or a detailing gift certificate (which will go unused because no one else is allowed to detail your P-car)?
Here is an opportunity to provide wives and sigificant others with some sense of what Porsche-related stuff we can include in our shopping lists. Even more helpful is to tell us where to buy these things.
Rules: you can't reply "new 997". Unless, of course, it's intended to be a 'shared vehicle'.

Ah! Good suggestion.
I mean, the painted bumper plugs.
I think my hubby has shown me a site for a company that does that. Not sure if I'm allowed to post the url.
I guess the catch is to make sure you get the factory color/code right.
Thanks for the reply!
Thanks. My philosophy is twofold:
1. Shared Porsche enthusiasm x support to the habit = hubby happiness = good marriage
2. ...as a wife: why wear bling, when you can drive it?
K
Wish List:
1) A good 1:18 scale die cast version of my car (2000 silver C2)
2) One of those garage wall thingys that protect your car door if you should hit it
3) See # 1
I like toys... (like a little radio controlled helicopter...)
But I tell my wife I like things like garage art. An entry to a track even would be pretty cool, too!
That was my 10th anniversary present last year! It was a great gift.
For those of you who might think it's little for a 10th anniversary - it isn't. It was the perfect gift and since we were married on July 4th, we're always taking a vacation someplace nice on our anniversary. This year it's over a week in San Diego/southern CA and another week in Cabo.
..and with that, hubby just took a Friday night joy ride with the 996.
Seriously, thanks for the ideas thus far. Any others under $500 would be great. You guys have no idea how hard it is to come up with gifts that have the "wow" factor. I would get him a lift in the garage, but that's not something you just "buy" without consent. Anything else??? How about those in-car computers that show track stats???

A friend let me borrow his traqmate (

) - it was super cool, but a little over your budget.
Does he have the Durametrics scan tool yet?
That is a good idea. Also, does he already have a Porsche Crest Wall Plate? I really like mine. See first item in the link below. Good luck.

Can we see you car kalexandre. That would make it easier for us.
In general I would guess
http://www.bumperplugs.com/
covers a lot of the items you could easily buy.
Magnus,
It is my car.. My wife is being cute and picking your brains for my b-day coming up. I don't really need anything special.... a car n driver sub would be fine.
Unless we go with the "stripper" with bumperettes.. see I made that PC down from hooker.
Instead of getting something from my wife-to-be, I'd like to get her what she wants... a 996GT3. She loves to drive as much as I do, and I'm already a lucky man to have that kind of love & support.
You've been talking about the outdoor kitchen for several hours now. How long could this possibly take? Aren't you done yet?
Seriously, I hope you post pictures...
K,
If you get a ceramic cooker for him, it will revolutionize your BBQ life. Besides he'll be more psyched about cooking, so it's actually a thinly disguised gift for you. My wife says that my two favorite things are driving and smoking (ribs). The insulation of the ceramic cooker makes it possible to get really tender and smoky Q without drying it out. As a result, I have this nice propane grill that I don't use anymore.

<-- I have this one. There's just no substitute for cubic inches...
