Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Most likely asked a million times (can't find the answer of search) but when the H&R Sport springs are installed on a 996 C2, can it be aligned back to factory specs, or is it basically new tires more frequently.........

Seems like the magic word is 'bouncy' when lowering springs are installed w/ factory shocks.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thanks from a neebee
Thank you. Wheel Warehouse is telling me to get the Eibach as they don't drop as much as the H&R. That way, they should be able to get it 'almost' back to factory..........
you should be able to get pretty darn close. I'm not sure if you can ever get the camber to the exact factory specs after lowering. If you're aligned properly, tire wear shouldn't be significantly worse. If you're dropped super low or have a bunch of negative camber--watch out.
Is the H&R 'super-low'?? I just want a slight drop and hopefully retain the stock ride. Yeah I know, and people want ice water in hell too.........
Seriously, I've read many pro's and con's on this one. Seems like the magic word is 'bouncy' when lowering springs are installed w/ factory shocks.
No, it's perfect in my opinion. HOWEVER, if you do the springs make VERY sure you upgrade the shocks as well. I recommend Bilstein Sports. The combination made for a very smooth ride with a nice balance of sharpness in the handling.
Here is a photo of my old 996 with this package:
How many miles are on your car? I also highly recommend you upgrade your shocks at the same time. No additional labor and a world of imporvement. As stated before, Bilstein Sports are an excellent choice.
I might add here...that you'll be able to get the factory allignment specs in the rear without any issues with the H&R's. Where you may not be able to get back to the factory negative camber specs in the front with the springs it'll be for the better as it will make the car handle even better. You'll still be FAR from wearing the front tires at a rapid rate due to negative camber values.
+1 on everyone's comments on the shocks at the same time.
