Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Just read an article mentioning that the 2009's will be getting direct fuel injection, same displacement 3.6 and 3.8 but power will be 340 and 370hp!!
Wow!!
Wait until you see it in the flesh. The "droopy" tailights are on the restyled Cayenne and while driving behind a GTS the other day I thought "those lights don't look too bad".
I'm more interested to see if they come into the 21st century and include things like factory ipod integration and satellite radio!
I have to say I like my MkI Boxster-like headlights much better than the combo 4-eye looking '09 version!
And, I agree the drooping tail lights look goofy, and break from tradition even more than the headlight controversy!
Agreed with most here: the rear headlights look unfinished. I'm not a fan of the drooping line (like a smile) that is permeating through design shops these days. Indeed, the BMW 1-series has that same drooping line in the middle of the car on the lower portion of the door. It's makes the cars look too cute. Instead, I'd rather see a convex line that approaches a frown and make the car look a little 'meaner'. Anyway, I'm sure the car is going to drive like a beast. Gofor28off has it right though; here's to hoping they add some real amenities. Sat and audio jacks are not luxuries anymore.
I like the new rear. Can't tell much differnce in the font between the 997 and 998.
This is what I like the most.
A limited-slip differential is purported to be standard on all-wheel-drive 911s and available on rear-drivers.
I like the new rear, also. Taillights look pretty cool IMO.
I want one...
Actually, once they are out for a year or two, I think I could be in the market for a 997 since their prices will hopefully drop a bit.
The Car & Driver article which is linked to says the following:
"
At least there will be a red bar running between the lights, a curious favorite of Porschephiles
"
But, I do not see that red reflector bar in these photos. To me, that bar is an iconic design feature from the 993's and the 996C4S and it would be nice to see it brought back. Anyone have any info on this?
Otherwise, I like the looks of the new model a lot.
Oh, I didn't see the link earlier.
Porsche's gotta call their DSG something different, PDK, 7-speed.
That's gonna be some fun to drive together with the power boost.
Just gotta wait until 2014 until I can afford a used 5-year old 2009 model.
LOL - I was at the dealer talking to some guys in the shop again yesterday afternoon. I grabbed a coffee and went outside for a smoke and started to look at an '07 997S. Of course a salesman approached and was trying to convince me what a great deal I could have by trading in my '04 C2. The service writer was apparently observing this because when I went back in the shop he pulled me aside and said "here's a littel advice, the '09's will be here soon with direct injection and other significant improvements, you have a fine CPO car so wait until 2011 and pick up an '09 when we start to see them coming in." I guess I should start saving for the future.
