I considered epoxy but good epoxy job is $5/sf, the tiles are about $3/sf or less, and very easy to change pattern if you dont like what you did.

Here are a few pics from today, finally got the lift ramps back (had a welder custom make some stops to keep the ramps upright when the lift goes up -- normally the ramps would drop in the way of a car driving in below so the ramps would need to be removed every time the lift was to be used (PITA!).

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 15Original post

Just beautiful, I'm wiping a tear from my eyes. Thanks for letting us live vicariously. That end shot of the GT-3 is fabulous!

POST 16Original post

If the Boss sent me out of the house for being"bad", I'd love to be able to go to a garage like that. In fact, I probably would be "bad" on purpose!!!

POST 17Original post

Just remeber just in case you're dazzled by the bling....it's still "Righty Tightly...Lefty Loosey

POST 26Original post

As many tv's as I have in my entire house. I'm so envious. I showed my wife, but I don't think she understands

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

mal28 -- believe it or not we *are* putting a hot tub out back of the garage. We already have one on the house and had an extra one, so we decided to put a concrete pad and hook it up back there, too. :-)

POST 28Original post

Garage looks great, but from now on, we should call it 'shop' Great job!

POST 29Original post

I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU. That's the sickest thing I've ever seen. Absolutely fantastic. Maybe we should move to VA.

POST 30Original post

Nice inside, but outside it needs a little work Keep up the good work man!!!

POST 31 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep, outside still needs paint, landscaping, paving, etc etc. Here are a few pics from today, finally got the lift ramps back (had a welder custom make some stops to keep the ramps upright when the lift goes up -- normally the ramps would drop in the way of a car driving in below so the ramps would need to be removed every time the lift was to be used (PITA!). Sorry in advance that the Cayenne T and Benz are filthy -- it's pouring out!

POST 32Original post

POST 36Original post

NO kidding...when I have the money to afford such a creation...I will look to this post for inspiration!

POST 37Original post

Consider leasing your garage as a time share?

POST 38Original post

with those black cars you need a wash bay.............

POST 39Original post

That is one spectacular 'Shop', as Chris says. Is the window AC supplemental? I would expect all HVAC systems to be central. Truly the best part of any garage is/are the child/children. You and your son will certainly be spending some quality play time together in there. Enjoy, Scott, it really is amazing!!!!

POST 40Original post

Wow. Nice job, Scott. Midway arcade, motion activated towel dispenser, Brabantia waste can, and a lift... what more could a guy need? I do see enough space for a black C-GT...

POST 41Original post

Fantastic project Scott, very commendable indeed.

POST 42Original post

Outstanding but watch out for drips from the top rack onto the lower car.

POST 43 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Mark I have 2 drip pans for exactly that.

POST 44Original post

please fix the photo links so i can show this to my friend..and steal a few ideas for my own carhold spectacular work..ur garage is nicer than some (if not most) houses

POST 46 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here is a link to photos of the garage and its construction since day 1. Enjoy! http://members17.clubphoto.com/scott...ner-15f3.phtml

POST 47Original post

Scott, Words fail me! That place is seriously awesome, dude. Next time I'm near C'ville, I'll give you a shout. I'd like to check that out in person. =Carlos=

POST 49Original post

Indeed that is the most awesome garage in all of garage-dom! So is that epoxy painted floors in between the colored flooring tiles? How easy is it to keep the flooring tiles clean or what to dyou clean them with? I have an epoxy floor that is coming up and needs redone. I am considering doing the entire floor in the tiles. Here's a pic of my lowly garage:

POST 50 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The entire floor is Kiwi tiles -- the black/white are solid tiles, the red/gray are perforated (with a drain below each bay for washing, rain, and snow). I considered epoxy but good epoxy job is $5/sf, the tiles are about $3/sf or less, and very easy to change pattern if you dont like what you did. So far I'm happy with them -- the clean up with a mop or any spray cleaner for tough spots.

POST 51Original post

Sooner - You should worry ! my garage has 4 desks, 4 PCs one fax, one phot-copier and me in it ! - No room for Porche or Lexus - these live on the drive all year. (I work from home saving me about 20K PA in rent. - Garage has been conveted to my office)

POST 52Original post

why dont the pics show up for me? newbie, plz help!

POST 53 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That photo host is dead, click here for pics: http://members17.clubphoto.com/scot...wner-15f3.phtml

POST 54Original post

Very nice. I would like one just like it. If I may ask a question. How high are the ceilings? There are floor drains around the cars? Do they have to drain into a trap? How thick is the floor slab and what PSI concrete did you use to support the lift? How deep is the interior space and how tall are the garage doors? Well, more then one question. Thanks. Bill Z

POST 55Original post

WOW, thats amazing!! What is on top of the garage? An apartment for the inlaws??? Also, whats with the 3 tvs? are they monitors or just so you can see a tv from every part of the garage? Bobby

POST 56 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Siding is sprayed with a bleaching oil chemical -- it will weather and turn a nice gray over the next couple months. Looks a bit uneven for now. Still waiting for asphalt... also a pic of the upstairs as some have requested.

POST 57Original post

I'm jelious. Hey $15K for thoes video games are nothing. Imagine how much it would cost for the land in LA to build that dream garage.

POST 58Original post

here's my s-hole in a state of current disrepair. yours is a beast though where is your kegerator nice car too fellow virginian! btw, if you live around the dc area my detached garages were built by blackbearstructures.com, 2g built on your slab 7,200, 1g delivered 3500.

POST 59Original post

DAMN! DAMN! That is incredible. I am going to be in your lovely, little town the third week of October for business. I expect an invitation and tour of the facility. DAMN!

POST 61Original post

That is a great looking garage!! The checkered floor is a beauty!!

POST 62Original post

POST 64Original post

THAT is just CRAZY!!! Not to be so intruding, but how much would it cost me to do one almost like yours!! Not asking how much you spent, but about the same as yours??? LOOKS GREAT!

POST 65Original post

Can I come and live in your garage? I will clean it...

POST 66Original post

That it absolutely incredible...................just curious is that paint on the floor for the patterns or is it some kind'of tile? Wow Very nice

POST 67Original post

Never mind , should have read further. Splendid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

POST 71Original post

Awww....cmon we have eternal summer here. But you are right, if we sold our homes in socal...we could live like kings in REAL million dollar homes right? Tennis courts in back, 4 car garage... Hey, I see that you are in mission hills. I just moved there in march. I dont have a porsche yet, but have been pondering getting a 997. I always drive by a red 996 on titus. Is that you? i know there are a TON of porsches in mission hills.

POST 72Original post

Obviously fantastic Garage. Just curious...are the ceiling lights regular spots or halogen ? ..and what's the flooring where you park ? Can't see it that well in the picture. Congrats again.

POST 73 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, Mbergeron: ceiling lights are actually compact flourescent 30W bulbs -- equiv of 120W of light, 30W of power usage. With 36 bulbs there is plenty of light in the garage. If I want more I can always switch all or some to halogens or floods. The flooring is all Kiwi Tile ( www.kiwitile.com ). Cost of the project was around $110,000. scott

POST 74Original post

that garage is simply amazing. props on it big time just out of curiosity, what kind of job do you have?

POST 75Original post

Nice, big and pretty.... Where are the tools? 15k for a video game.... hell I want to see a plasma torch, tig welder and a project car being worked on. Also you need some girl posters and maybe a Harley. Hell buy a turbo and hang it on the wall. I would hate to see this garage only be used twice a year to change oil.

POST 76Original post

Funny you should mention a plasma cutter and Tig welder.I bought those for my girlfriend last year.

WOW!!! WOW!!!! ..I just don't know what else to say! Thanks for sharing!!!

POST 79Original post

For your girlfriend!??!! For real? Or is it like me giving my wife tools as gifts only to find that she is not into tools and I then get to keep them (by now she has caught up and I am getting Precious Moments figurines as gifts )

POST 80Original post

This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen!

POST 82Original post

hmmm...where is the arc or mig welder cherrie picker compressor welding tanks bench grinder where is the stuff? ..cant fit in those cabinets Garage is nice ...don't get me wrong...but how much work do you actually do on the cars? Everything is spotless. I'm just very curious.....?????

POST 83Original post

POST 86Original post

Wachuko-Yes the plasma cutter and Tig welder really were really for my girlfriend.I'd hurt myself.I just wish she'd had them back when I was racing
