Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

There is a sensor sticking out of lower bumper that looks like a xmas light bulb on my 996. Does anyone know what it's for?

POST 2Original post

I think you're referring to the external temperature sensor.

POST 4Original post

ramjet intake for 998 model. - temp sensor on 996

POST 5Original post

No. The laser is on the driver's side. This is the octane ventral assimilation booster. You should know that by now!... Happy Holidays... Jim

POST 6Original post

Oh man, I left mine at home! Something else to add Santa's wish list.

POST 9Original post

Hey, show some respect. My best friend lost his sight (good eye) from a mishap involving that laser. "Quit humpin' 'The Laser'!" Cheers

POST 10Original post

Like Acab said he has the male version of the car and they don't use the "Frik'n Laser" on male cars. BTW Porsche stoped using those Frik 'n parts in early 1999. I'm not sure what they are using today. Maybe someone could fill us in here... ps...Don't stare into the beam! Jim

POST 11Original post
