I'll check my warranty book tomorrow, but if I just bought a GT3 from the same dealer, the first thing I would do was tell the salesperson I bought the car from about the problem.

If nothing changed I would assure the salesperson that, that was the last car I bought from them/dealership.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys. I have searched the forums for battery options for a GT3. What I have come up with are two batteries: Optima or Odyssey PC680. I am not a big fan of the Optima as I have had 4 different ones in different cars over the years and they all didn't last more than a year. The Odyssey is an impressive battery but I don't know anywhere to get one and I need a batter fast. Seems that the Porsche dealer has my car (in for service b/c of dead battery and other issues on a 968 mile 2005 car) and wants to put a battery in it for the tune of $232.15. I told them they are nuts and to pick the car up I need to get another battery.
What do you guys recommend?
Thanks
There was a thread on these batteries:

recently and that somebody liked them better than the Odyssey PC680. Odyssey also makes an "in between" battery, the PC925 which is also appealing. This website has a lot of info and links:

Keep us posted whatever you pick and how it works out. Unfortunately, I just put in a crappy Sears battery last year before all these great threads on sealed lead acid batteries.
According to the warranty book 15miles a day or 6K miles per rolling year. The warranty also states that it does not cover batteries. Basically the dealer and the service manager are wanting to be a PIA.
I'll check my warranty book tomorrow, but if I just bought a GT3 from the same dealer, the first thing I would do was tell the salesperson I bought the car from about the problem. If nothing changed I would assure the salesperson that, that was the last car I bought from them/dealership. I would also let them know that I would let my friends, including my internet friends know how I was treated. Having said that have you talked to GM of the dealership? This is just not right.
