Hello All, I am looking for a service and repair manual for my 911 996 model. I have searched the internet with no luck finding one specific to the year or model. If any one has any ideas or leads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you much, paiman

I am not aware of an aftermarket manual for the 996. Post this question on the 996 forum, they'll know for sure. I suspect you'll have to check into the official factory offerings (which are great, but not cheap - just like the car). good luck (& welcome to Rennlist).

"The Porshce 996 99-04 workshop manuals, wiring diagrams, OBII manual and a few techniks and Technical Service Bulletins are $60.00 and the PET ( dealer version parts program ) update 190 is $25.00. S&H is $6.00 worldwide via US Priority Postage or free if both PET and manuals are ordered together for $75.00." I bought them and they are great.

The manuals, etc. are on CD. They appear to be original Porsche CD's. You can print out the sections as you need them. I'm not selling them, only bought a copy, but they have been great for me. Also got an up-to-date price list and discovered that the local Porsche dealer where I bought my car is actually charging about 120% of the "suggested price". Sunset sells them for cost +15% which saves me 40% or so over the local dealer.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
