Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got a Nokia N95 8Gb phone with 5mpix camera a couple of days ago and here are some sample shots. I am quite happy with the quality of the pictures taking into account that it is a phone. However, sunshine and nice panorama on the background would be nice but at the moment we have only 5 hours of daylight here. So this is what I got. Please excuse me the dirty car. Keeping the car clean on our salty and sandy roads is very laborious. As you can see, I chose not to store my car for the winter. Despite the fact that the car has brand new winter tires, being a Carrera 2 manual with no ESP, the driver has to be extremely focused on driving. The car spinns quite easily. But in the snow, on a large, empty parking lot or on the ice of a lake, oh boy how fun driving can be in the winter!

Yes! One side looks like a phone and the other side looks like a camera. I am very happy with this product.

POST 4Original post

WOW, those are great pocs for a phone. I am impressed. Nice looking car. My phone does not take pics, because it and my camera have a "gentleman's agreement." The phone agrees not to take pics, and the camera agrees not to make phone calls. BTW - just in case no one has told you this yet.... did you know that if you stop driving with the sunroof open, your hair will eventually grow back!

I used to have a smile like that! I haven't had it since 12:24 PM on 6/2/08, when my car went back to the leasing company!

POST 7Original post

Welcome, our Finnish friend. Great looking P-car and fantastic pics for a phone.

POST 8Original post

beautiful pics and car.... good for you for driving it....

POST 9Original post

Very cool! I have the exact same phone! If anybody remembers the pictures I took of my C4S, they were also taken w/ my N95 8GB: I haven't carried a full-blown digital camera in a couple of years now! I have my camera set to 2.0mp and you can see the full 2.0mp set here . I also send some of my pics to my picture blog , although my picture blog was started when I had my Sony Ericsson K790a 3.0mp camera. Guy, if you are impressed w/ the still pictures, then you will be VERY impressed w/ the video capture capability. The only thing I don't like is the LED flash... Sony Ericsson Cybershot phones come w/ a full-blown xenon flash. I'm very excited about the new and upcoming "iphone killer", the Nokia N97 -- touch screen and full QWERTY tactile keyboard. I'm almost tempted to pay full retail when the NAM model comes here so I can get it ASAP! ///Michael

POST 11Original post

Remember he is from Finland. In Europe they have really good phones and the latest stuff. Good luck, nice ride and especially driving it in the snow.

I used that logic on my daughter when she wanted me to upgrade my phone so I could take pics. I told her it wasn't necessary because my phone still worked and so did my camera. Then I told her about the "agreement" they had with each other.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My old phone was 5 years old and I am not into phones, so I am very surprised about the things this phone can do! With the 3.5G HSDPA connection that this phone has, viewig pictures and sending messages (this one too) works like a breeze! It is only a bit slower than the cable that I have on my home PC. 5 years seem to be a lifetime, when talking about cell phone development.

POST 15Original post

POST 16Original post

Your car is gorgeous. Vesuvio is one of my favorites. This is a picture of my vesuvio car that I sold a year ago. It is nice to see such a happy Porsche owner. Welcome aboard.

POST 17Original post

Nice looking car! Wow, a 5 Mpix camera on a phone, those pics are amazing for a phone.

POST 18Original post

Great looking car, and great pictures! Thanks for posting - makes me want to take the bumperettes off my car. Wonder if that would look good without the euro license plate. Bob

POST 19Original post

Nokia makes great phones with great cameras! AND, did you know that they also make the standard (non-Bose) speakers for the 996?

Also, don't forget to try Nokia Maps. If you haven't done so yet, upgrade the firmware to the latest version, then download and install the latest version of Nokia Maps, which is version 2.0. Version 3.0 is currently in testing at Nokia Beta Labs. While not as robust as a full-blown navigation unit, the voice-guided navigation in Nokia Maps has been helpful a number of times. I don't even bother using my Mio C520 navigation unit anymore as well. Also join n95users.com and howardforums.com for the latest info and helpful tips. ///Michael

A Peterbuilt rolled into me a couple of years ago on the interstate parking lot during rush hour. There wasn't a mark on my car, you couldn't even see where he knocked any dust off the bumperettes. He said he couldn't see me, but I had been in front of him for awhile. We were both amazed there was no damage, he even more-so that I said just forget it, no harm, no foul. They are ugly but under 5 MPH they work with 80k rolling lbs

POST 26Original post

Thanks, Tim. As I suspected, the U.S. license plate looks kind of small in that space without the bumperettes. I guess I'll keep it the way it is. I appreciate you showing me what it would look like. Bob
