Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

i needed to replace my wife's minivan (coming off lease), so i found a CPO 06 volvo XC70 in mica black that seemed to fit the bill.
dealer really wanted to sell the car. it was very clean, literally like-new interior. the only thing it lacked was the "new car" smell. had the standard package for cross country models (power everything, leather, etc.). all-wheel drive for michigan winters is a plus. anyway, agreed upon a price $4k below blue book. CPO good for another 76k miles or 2012. i actually thought about financing the car and got a credit union rate of 5.9%, but paid cash at the last minute. yes, i dipped into my 996 "blown motor" fund and i'm keeping my fingers crossed that i didn't just jinx myself.
at any rate. the car's fit and finish is very nice. very solid. reminded me of my old audi all-road. the pedal and steering is lighter than i expected, but the 2.5T motor is pretty nice. more than expected low-end torque. overall i'd say i'd recommend this as a family hauler. lots of cargo space and the innovative built in child seat is a real plus for those of you with kids over 33 lbs.
Yup, Volvo's are very well made cars. Rock solid, bullet-proof, my '99 S80 T6 just keeps going and going. They indeed isolate you from the "driving experience" with their light steering, sofa armchair comfortable seating, quiet ride, but that's what Volvo's are. Great long-term reliable, family hauling, comfortable, safe, and, in my case, winter car. The are also unassuming and blend in, a great feeling after all the attention our Porsche's get. I'll likely get another Volvo when and if this one eventually breaks apart.
Congratulations on a great buy!!
yeah, my wife's got one too - white, and yes, she's a Volvo ***** (I don't get it but then again I drive a P-car).
the car is nice but it's nothing less than a boat
And that's what people think when they try to follow me through corners in mine (T5 turbo, full Bilstein suspension, coils, sway and stress bars, solid engine mounts, drilled rotors)
