Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Howdy, Since I am getting my GT3 bucket seats, I wonder if there would be anybody interested on my sport seats. I have 4k miles on my car so the seats are in excellent condition. Back of the seats are artic silver painted. If somebody is interested, PM me... maybe we could work something out... Here are some pics...

POST 2Original post

wow! those r in even better condition than the ones i sold! you might want to consider keeping them though incase you ever sell your car. from what i hear, painted seatbacks are a very expensive option.

POST 3Original post

Yeah...I may be. Shoot a PM with your price. Chad

POST 9Original post

Those are very expensive seats, I've got the same ones without the crest. Electric Sport Seat $1,220 (per side!), Painted $1,495 and the crest add a couple hundo more $$$. They cost over $4k more than the stock sport seats.

POST 11Original post

add me to your pm list. Just to let you know.. shipping will not be cheap on these. When I sent my BMW M3 seats it cost around $250 for the two seats.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Sansan, I am trying to find a freight company to see how much it would be to different locations. I had overlooked the shipping cost so I now have to factor that in. I'll page all interested parties when I find out about the shipping cost. Thanks for the interest! I love the seats but I really want the bucket seats...

POST 13Original post

Hey smdb01us, as far as shipping goes you should look at using a bus line like Greyhound. I just had to ship a bumper out of state and it only cost $45.00 and took less than 1 day to get there. That was half of what a freight company wanted and about 1/3 of UPS. Hope it helps.

POST 14Original post

That's a pretty good idea..... Maybe a overnight trip down to "good old" Texas might be good too.... I miss Austin...... -Eli

POST 15Original post

Eli, that is one long a** trip! I made the trek out here to Vegas from San Antonio and let's just say, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! Christ, El Paso is the halfway point and I hadn't even left TX yet. Texas is quite the big country I do miss it there though. Grew up in San Antonio and Laredo.

POST 16Original post

Last time I drove there I made it into Texas by late afternoon! I started at about 7 AM and left my foot on the floor board.... Took me an other day to get to the center where I needed to go.... -Eli

POST 17Original post

Holy crap! What did you avg speed-wise? That is a 1400 mile trek.

POST 18Original post

I averaged the whole trip, pit stops included around 92 MPH the whole trip...... Because I included pit stops both bathroom and gas I had to shoot some 125 sprints along the way...... -Eli

POST 19Original post

those seats are hot!!! I recently added Sport seats and "investigated" the market extensively. I'd say $3000 would be a fair price for both parties. $1800 is a fair price for semi-power with crests. Throw in FULL power AND painted seat backs AND crests AND Perfect Condition- WOW!!!!

POST 20Original post

I just put the euro seats in my GT3 and have the electric sport seats painted arctic silver as well- plan on keeping them to make the car original IF I ever decide to sell it- unlikely at this point... if someone made a kit, I'd turn them into fancy office chairs!! They are in perfect condition, and don't have those ugly safety stickers anymore either... of course, if someone offers me a ridiculous price for them...

POST 21Original post

i would be glad to give you a ridiculous price for fully electric sports seats. Say, $100 and i will even pay all shipping!

POST 23Original post

what's the difference between full power and semi powered? My seats go up down front back and recline by power. Is this full power?

POST 24Original post

Semi-power don't have power sliders or power up and down..... -Eli

POST 25Original post

$100 eh, I'll have to think about that... (BTW, they are full power- now that I have them out of the car, they are REALLY heavy compared to the euro seats!)

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys, The reason why I have not PMd those of you who are interested is because I am just making sure I am ok with the GT3 seats. I do not want any surprises. Also, I stopped by my friendly UPS store today to investigate on shipping prices. It looks like 200-250 worst case scenario. I'll PM all interested parties as soon as I can... I can't wait to install the GT3 seats!

POST 27Original post

It has been discussed here before, and as long as you are not too tall, or too wide, the GT3 seats are much better than the sport seats. However, I find it a little uncomfortable for long trips. (anyone interested in sport seats with red stitching and red painted backs?).

POST 28Original post

How much are the GT3 seats in plain black ? I need new seats as I have almost ended up driving from the passenger side after some corners.

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

These guys gave good prices: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?

POST 31Original post

I think he PMed me a while back for $2800 the set..... Started off at around 1500 in the first E-mail..... Too expensive.....at 2800
