rennlisters, As you all know, modding is contagious, and nearly every post on this board is infected. I think it is all the more fitting then, that my very first mod was not only inspired by this board, but was literally the product of one of its very generous members - Gota911 (Tim K.) It is not often that we come across such acts of kindness, so thanks again Tim! - Before: After: Just a quick FYI for anyone (like me) who searches for "aluminum gauge bezels": I used UHU Tack ... and it worked, after a couple tries, really well. You need about a pea sized piece, rolled into a long cylinder, then pressed into the inner lip of the ring (the outer lip). Of course, dry fit the rings first, and shape if needed. I messed up a couple of times, and they rings pulled off with a little effort, leaving behind no scratches or residue.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

J. The rings look great! I am glad I helped you get the first mod done to your car. Now your need to start on the rest of the "page 1" mods!

Did you HAVE to remind me of that???? Just kidding! I really hope I don't start tomorrow when I drop it off. That would be really embarrassing!

Yeah, but no one would blame you. Tim, Im not sure of your situation (space req etc), but a fun short term option would be a Honda S2000. I've leased one for the last 3 years - it was a hoot. NO TORQUE, but great handling, and gearbox. On full boil (between 5800 - 8500 rpm) the car screams like a super-bike. My lease buyout was 21K for a 2005 model with 15K miles and warranty remaining. I was talking to the dealer when i turned it in, and he said right now the market is down and they are selling new ones for invoice. Just FYI.

Ah, the first step down the slippery slope . . . Have fun! For you second step, if I remember correct, clear side markers are a Rennlist requirement . . . at least thats what they all told me . . .

No one here would blame you, Tim. We know how attached you've become to the car. But, remember, it's only a car - they're like Doritos, "Don't worry, we'll make more!" When you're ready there will always be another perfect car waiting for you - we all wish you nothing but good things, success, and the best of health.

I have brought up this car specifically in other similar threads to remind people that it is possible to still have some degree of fun in a car that is 1 not a Porsche and 2 cheaper than a Porsche!
I loved that car... even though it was Honda, it always felt just a little bit more special. Great to auto-x as well - as seen here at a LA auto-x event. (Im on the far right...)
I am considering picking up an AP2 silverstone/red/black sometime in the near future for a daily. From my research it stands head and shoulders above everything else at its price point.
I know some of the rings are cheap looking. Which ones are those? Tim, do you recall the make? Are they brushed aluminum? I don't want anything that looks obviously added on, but I like the way those look.
It's almost an 'obligatory' mod IMO. Here is mine with the 'correct nineeleven' time
^^nice shot!
Who makes those, Juan?
