Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thanks to this site and RennTech, I've already done a few things like change some burnt out lights in the cluster, front headlight, oil change, repaired some damaged trim, etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Hello All, After a considerable amount of research and the unfortunate loss of my ML320, I've decided to take the leap into my first Porsche. She's a 2001 996 C2 Tip Cab. Pics attached. I've gleaned a huge amount of info from here and hope to gradually continue learning more. Thanks to this site and RennTech, I've already done a few things like change some burnt out lights in the cluster, front headlight, oil change, repaired some damaged trim, etc. Thank you all for your invaluable advice. JF

Congrats! Drive it and enjoy the heck out of it.

POST 19Original post

Nice car! Like the tan interior, but for some reason those cupholders seem to bother me. Kinda like eyes staring me down. if it were me I would do the center console delete or add a storage pocket instead.

They're just the stock "Hi-Fi" setup. I don't think there's anything special to these door speakers other than they're just mid-bass drivers. Jorge

Funny, when I first sat in it, I had a similar feeling. I ended up having to fix them in order to work. They're not very usable; I think they're designed to hold a Dixie cup, lol. I felt bad getting rid of them because the original owner had them wrapped in leather. At some point I might either rearrange the layout or maybe even go for a large panel head unit. Jorge
