Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Wouldn't recommend anyone try it themselves, but I never got caught doing it.

<shakes head> That seemed like a REALLY stupid move on the cop's part--he could have gotten run over very easily, all over a traffic citation.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

OK so there must have been a big scuffle to get the key out of the ignition when it is right there on the left side, oh maybe the cop didn't know this and was reaching over the steering column.
Cool vid and I am glad you got away for the time being
<shakes head> That seemed like a REALLY stupid move on the cop's part--he could have gotten run over very easily, all over a traffic citation. At least, I have to believe it was a simple traffic citation, or he'd have waited for backup and/or had his gun drawn instead of standing at the perp's window.
I have 3 or 4 times - well, not dragged them like this guy, but sorta left him behind.
Driving along - speeding - and a cop either starts pulling out after me, or is going the other direction and slows and crosses the center divider to come back after me. I figure that as long as he isn't close behind me with his lights on, and clearly wanting ME to stop, then I am clear to accelerate, get off at the next exit or two, and cut through some back roads and lose him. Wouldn't recommend anyone try it themselves, but I never got caught doing it.
+1.. I wonder if the police are now using this as part of a "how not to make a traffic stop" video.. seems like there was great potential for things ending *really* badly..

Right in my backyard here in Utah. I don't really pay much attention to local news, so of course learned about it on this thread. Between the "taser" video from a few months ago and this, I'd say that Utah needs to get with the program when it comes to traffic stops...
What I really want to know - is the car alright? That is my biggest concern here...

would you be as happy if it was your car thst was stolen and the cop was trying to stop him? Sorry, I see no humor in this, the Porsche driver should be arrested.
Of course the driver was caught unless it was stolen. The all of that information would be on the officer's screen before he got out of the patrol car. I would bet that the police would be waiting for him to come home. Hopefully with tasers, big sticks and no video.
Lighten-up as shyte happens all the time...and if you read through the thread again you will see that the person that stole the car did get arrested eventually.
Hint for all cops: the ignition key is on the left side of the steering wheel, and next time shoot the offender, and then all you need to do is clean-up the brain matter.
If any of my cars ever gets stolen, I don't ever want to see it again. So yes, I think it would be incredibly stupid for a cop to risk his life (and that's what he did, if you ask me) over my stolen car.
