Sorry. I mean the guy may try to "Roll" you. As in bait ya and then the story is not true. A 2003 or 4 c4 996 was on Craigslist for 25,000 on friday and an auction. Do a search and ya may find the thread.
911 C4's with any miles do not go for 15 Grand unless it is a fire or wrecked car...or the lump is blown.
There have been 2 incidents like this on Long Island

Police: LI Porsche-scam robbers strike again

Police say robbers who use an online offer for a Porsche as bait have snared a new set of victims.
Nassau County Police Detective Lt. Karl Schoepp says the latest victims made a deal to buy a 2002 Porsche for $44,000 after spotting the offer on the online clearinghouse Craigslist. A Craigslist spokeswoman didn't immediately reply to an e-mail early Saturday.
Schoepp says a group of five men _ one with a gun _ beat the two would-be buyers when they went to pick up the car Thursday in Baldwin, on Long Island. The victims had been told to bring $22,000 in cash, but Schoepp says they surrendered only $50 before getting away.
Police say a Pennsylvania couple was similarly assaulted late last month after driving to Freeport to seal a deal on a Porsche. They had also spotted an offer on Craigslist.

I have the original rims and tires also, have no gouges or scratches, and the rubber has about 60% tread left. They are not Winter tires, but would simply be an extra set of wheels/tires if you wanted them. They are the original style of wheels that came on the C4, which were the turbo twists.

There were some errors in the ad , I am located in Indiana , the car has 14000 miles. Clean title, I am the 2nd owner,
I look for $18,500. Selling lower due to a divorce .I have to move fast and I have no other alternative.

Too many of these turn out to be scams, or worse, to risk it. Everyone wants a nice Carrera for a bargain price, but very few of these bargains turn out to be true that it makes no sense to waste any time, let alone risk any money, on trying to verify this one.

Just in case anyone is still considering this to be the deal of the century, it's being advertised in North Carolina too. Another guy on another forum got the exact same response when he initially inquired and then the following response:
