So I just purchased a CPO 2000 c4 coupe. It had 26k miles when it went through certification. Im about to hit 30k... Im sure I still need to do the 30k mile service but is there anything in the certified inspection and 30k mile service that overlap thus making the 30k mile service cheaper? Whats a good price to pay under this scenario. Thanks in advance

If you are capable, then do the 30K service yourself. The 30K is essentially 3 things with some visual inspections thrown in.

The material costs for a 30K are about $120, and the time to complete is about an hour and a half if you take your time. If the car had a inspection for its CPO then all the visual checks should be good. This is a perfect time to go and do the DIY checklist to get to understand your car in a known good condition. These cars are no more complicated than a Toyota Corolla.

As far as dealer pricing, I have seen it range from $350 to $1200.
if you do it yourself, be sure to keep receipts of items purchased with exact mileage performed at. In case any warranty denial, you have it to back up. I've never had any issue with warranty claims when service are done DIY. However, you may want to visit the dealer a few times for any warranty repairs to get to know your SA. It's good to have some face time with him and get your name in the dealer's system.
