You guys are the experts though so I was wondering what your feelings are with this year of a 996 and the price assuming a clean PPI.

I have been looking for awhile and have been reading the board. I have found a local 2001 C2 cab 30,000 mi. 1 owner. All records, clean carfax and is supposed to be very clean and well maintained. Options: hard top, color crested caps, 18" turbos, technic pkg., comfort pkg, single cd, clear bra, . I will get a PPI completed. They have come down in price to $40,000. Looking at NADA, Edmunds and KBB this looks like a very attractive price as wll as looking at current listings on cars.com and autotrader.com. You guys are the experts though so I was wondering what your feelings are with this year of a 996 and the price assuming a clean PPI. I would like to go with a 2002 but the prices are just not in the cards for me at this point. Thanks for your input.
