Mine has had 4 replaced, Dont know why , but they think its a wire somewhere in the car, the problem with mine is anything over say 40, it stops working and shows zero.

I recently had a GT2 front bumper installed. Since the install, the outdoor air temperature is not right. It reads lower than the air temp is and takes a long time to adjust when I pull into my heated garage at work. The sensor and wire were hanging down but even if I relocate it it still is off. Should I simply replace the sensor that should connect to the bumper? Is there anything else it could be? It worked fine before the new bumper was installed. Also, does anyone have a closeup of the way it should be installed on a GT2 bumper? Thanks in advance, Adam

I have a similar problem except mine always reads 80 F-100 F even if it is 30 degrees outside. I'd like to also hear any solutions to the problem.

I've found that placement can affect a temp sensor more thanone would think, so you have to place it in the spot it was intended. Also, the temp sensor may have been damaged, so it might also need replacement.

marlinspike: That's true. Maybe mine is not in the right place as it is currently not secured. That is why I need a picture of a GT2 bumper with it installed so I can determine what I need and what it should look like. Thanks, Adam
