Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bought an '03 996 a few weeks back. 6k miles, perfect condition near as I can see. Love the drive so far. Have too many questions for one thread but need to start somewhere so.... in no particular order: M1 0W-40 fresh from the dealer, how long are you guys going on interval and where are you buying filters. On the 996 the dealer is putting 3M clearbra on this week- hood, front clip/bumper and l/r forward fenders aft of the headlights, also the mirrors. Anyone running clearbra on the rockers or behind the rear tires on the 996? Stock 18's and Michelin PS2's on it, freshly balanced. Need input on what real pressures for the street guys are running. I've got 36/42 now, seems ok. The books says 285 or 295's can go on the back. Anyone running 295's or just some pro's and con's? Also, looking for a good all season for the winter months. It will not be driven but on the best of days but it does get cold in CT and I am planning on turning my stockers into a winter setup. Love the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S but don't think they sell the size I need. I'll have plenty of more questions. Thanks guys.
