Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace black one' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace black one' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I cant stop staring at this thing! Just signed the title about 5 hours ago and I washed her up nicely and put some Zaino Z-8 on her(great stuff). Took it for a nice romp and I must say that this car is addicting, especially with the fabspeed mufflers. What a sweet sound!!
I will say this. I put gas in it and was surrrounded by 3 guys asking me questions about it. It did look amazingly clean and shiny so that definately drew more attention than normal but is this what I should expect? I must say I am not a big fan of all the attention to the car, especially for vandalism,etc... My prior P-car was a Silver Rose 944 Turbo S (great car) but in the 7yrs of ownership I dont think I ever got that much attention at the pump!
Hey, whats the best way to put pictures on this website? I just tried unsuccesfully.
Here are some pics of the new ride.
Already looking to do the clear side markers and the aluminum gauge rings. Starting small but I'm sure there will be more.....
lol. I still have my 944 and I also have a 996, they're both Porsches but they're from different worlds as far as attracting attention. Even when my 996 isn't that clean, like today, I still had lots of people looking at me and a guy pull up along side me and give me a thumbs up. With the 944, I get less than five comments a year.
By the way, looks like you got yourself a great car.
The attention thing is both a blessing and a curse. I saw a 997 being pulled over on interstate 83 yesterday morning by a MD State Tropper. The guy driving the Porsche passed me and I estimate that his speed was at around 75 MPH. The speed limit is 65 MPH.
Alex - Congrats! Nice looking P-car. Great color. Have you thought about doing any mods? You might want to consider the clear side lights and a silver

Hi everyone.
Thanks for the comments. I will be doing some mods soon. I think I'll start small with the clear side markers and the aluminum gauge rings. I think I am going to contact bumperplugs for both of them unless you guys think I should go elsewhere?
I do like that Silver Carrera script on the rear lid, very nice. I drove the car a total of 15-20 miles only last night and I am so impressed. We trully are fortunate to have these cars. There are plenty faster cars I suppose but few make me smile like this one. My 951S was quick as hell but it just didn't give me the same "feeling" that this 996 does. I am a very happy new owner.
Next step, pay my entry fee to become a paid member on this site. Its worth every penny to support such a great source of info.
Very sweet, I just upgraded to the fabspeeds myself from GHL's(wanted a more aggressive sound). As far as the gauge rings go, bumper plugs (Eric) is the way to go, but ONLY put them on with clear silicone, don't use the supplied super glue, it will f up your underlying gauge faces. I did that and wish I hadn't, now I can never go back to the stock black rings, which now I like better.
Congratualtions!!
I like the color (looks like lapis blue or midnight metallic blue).
What type of rims are those?
They look like BBS RS-GT but I can't tell for sure. I'm curious, because I have an 02 C4 Cab midnight metallic blue and I'm thinking about getting the BBS RS-GT.
