Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know the weights of the 18" techart wheels? I searched and found conflicting answers. Some said they were around 20 lbs and others claimed around 28-30 lbs. Also most of the pics I've seen have been of the black techarts, does anyone have any pics of the silver wheels? Thanks for any info

POST 2Original post

No introduction?? Welcome to Rennlist... FYI -- Techarts are known to be heavy... So I wouldn't be surprised if they were more towards the heavy end of the 20's...

POST 3Original post

No introduction?... No description of your P-car?... and most of all... NO PICS????? WOW, you really are a Newbie! Well, what the hell, I too, will welcome you to the Porsche Phunny Pharm anyway! We need PICS!

POST 4Original post

Yeah they're heavy, front is around 23 pounds and back is 28 pounds.

POST 6Original post

Don't know if this is helps, but I had these pics left over....I went with HRE C22. Photos coming soon!!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

lol sorry guys here's my 2001 911 with 30,000 miles on it. Just got it the friday after thanksgiving and the mod bug has hit hard. Anyways yea i figured the techarts were kinda heavy....hmmm guess I'll keep looking. I desperately need to lower it and put some rims on = )

POST 8Original post

What's the button and light to the left of the headligh switch?

POST 9Original post

Nice ride! Great color, too! A couple of simple but noticable mods are clear sidelights and swap the black Carerra logo on the rear deck lid with a silver one, like in my avitar.

POST 10Original post

Welcome to the mod bug, It's something most of us have here. Maybe a nice set of BBS RM's or RSR's would look great on that car,

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for all the compliments guys. The switch on the left of the steering wheel is the radar detector that the previous owner installed. Right now it's disconnected so I'll have to get it working and test it out. gota 911 do u know where i can get the stuff you mentioned? I really like the clear sidemarkers and silver logo. Well I'll keep you guys posted on how the car comes along and thanks again for all the info

POST 12Original post

You can find both of the desired mods on ebay, or your local Porsche dealer. Lots of guys on the board are sponsors, so check with them first of course.

POST 13Original post

By the way, Wheelenhancement.com has pictures of many 996s with aftermarket wheels, (some 996s in the same shade of blue as your car too). They can tell you the weight of any wheel before you buy it also. For example: http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...elDetail&id=53 http://www.wheelenhancement.com/getp...ght%20Blue.jpg

POST 14Original post

I know it's not a 996 but in my avatar is my 993 with techarts. When I get home I can post more pics if you like. That is if all the 996 guys don't mind me pokin' around from over on the darkside .

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
