Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Its actually easier to do the oil change on these cars than the earlier 911's.

No you cannot use any old filter from pepboys, I would recommend using Mahle filters.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

How much should an oil change cost at the dealership?
I called the other day and was quoted 120... Today i called to schedule an appt. and the guy tells me its 240..
I asked how many hours, but he couldnt give me an answer. All he said was that they check the belts and fluids with the oil service.. Is 240 a reasonable price?
TIA
You are being ripped off. Buy the oil, get the filter from Porsche for a total of $60 and take it to Jiffy Lube. Give the guy 2 bits to change it for you. Take the $150 or so in savings and treat yourself to something special.
Or, do it yourself for $60 and 30 minutes time.
Or, if you insist on the dealer doing it, stop by the drug store on the way and pickup a tube of K-Y. It might help with the pain.
And 20 minutes of the 30 is spent waiting for the oil to drain. Enough time to have relations with the person of your choice, 3 or 4 times...depending on your age.
Does the Porsche car manual have instructions for changing the oil myself? I used to do it all the time with my old cars but haven't needed to do it yet for the Pcar. And frankly, couldn't any old filter from Pep Boys or what not work or do you have to use the OEM product? Clearly, buy the quarts of oil is pretty straightforward.
Last quick question: what do you guys do with the old oil?

Re: Old Oil....you NEED to recycle it. Almost EVERY auto shop takes it (no charge). I just take mine bakc to Auto Zone here near my house.
