I'm planning on using my iPod with iTrip, unless there's a better way that I can do quick and easy.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ever since the C4S was introduced, I've thought it was the best looking 996 (if not the best looking Porsche) I'd seen. On and off over the last few years I'd been looking around to see if I could find one that grabbed me, and I finally did... 2002 C4S, black/black, supple, aluminum, built in trickle charge, guards red seatbelts, clear signals, oval tips, the list goes on. Stickered at 91k, got it for 62.5k. Oh, and only 6500 miles. Here's a few pics. The only problem is that it's on the wrong side of the country, so I'm flying out next week to drive it from Pennsylvania to our offices in Charlotte, and have it shipped back to Southern California. To say I'm stoked is an understatement...

POST 2Original post

Nice car. Mine is similar but SB inside. Enjoy. Where in PA? Having lived in NC, you will get much more seat time there than here. SNOW today... Bummer Enjoy the trip down. I suggest the backroads from PA like 202 and others thru to MD avoiding 95 as much as possible until 95 in VA. Driving down thru the Blue Ridge Pkwy would be ideal.

POST 3Original post

must be nicely optioned at 91k sticker! congrats on a nice car

POST 5Original post

I really do believe the C4S is the most beautiful 996. Not overstated, awesome lines, I do like the looks of the coupe over the cab, but when the top is down the C4s cab is nothing short of spectacular. Congrats on a fantastic looking C4S! Rob

POST 7Original post

beautiful... the red seatbelts are a nice touch

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks so much, I absolutely love the seatbelts. Rob, I agree, the cab is spectacular - by far the best looking iteration of the 996 in Cab form. I've been going back and forth on moving from air cooled to water, and I'm expecting a much different driving experience. This is what it came down to: I love the raw feel of my 964, but I can only drive it a few times a month - it just doesn't work for me unless the top is down (at which point it is a wonderful driving experience), and it's getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm looking forward to driving the C4 10 or 15 days a month, and staring at it from my office window.... I've been reading the other thread on C4S value, and I've seen them in the mid 50's too, but with much higher miles, and not as nicely optioned. I bought this one at about the limit of what I felt comfortable with, but, aside from new wheels, I should be able to enjoy it for quite a while without having to worry about much.

POST 9Original post

Welcome to the family. Love the C4S in any version....

POST 10Original post

very nice car! congrats! I kinda like the C4S myself

POST 11Original post

Nice car. Love sthe seatbelts, too! 'Nuff static pics, though. Best view of the C4S is at speed.

POST 12Original post

Very nice, congratulations...and welcome to the club...

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

dpblessing, what wheels are those? They look fantastic!

POST 16Original post

Congratulations, very nice. Enjoy your new ride.

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys - the drive down from Philly to Charlotte might be a bit dicey with all the snow expected. It's a good thing it's a C4S and not a GT2!!! I'm planning on using my iPod with iTrip, unless there's a better way that I can do quick and easy. Thoughts?
