I can tell you I am really happy with my MB quart setup, Many P-car owners like the focals as well, truth is I have always used MB and I LOVE the sound.

I had the Bose Hi End system with the factory sub box, and I gotta say it was not worth the money.I have added one 10" sub in one of the rear seats and it works out well.check my sig for pictures of the setup

I have already added a Kenwood headunit (hide away) and10 GIG MP3 Music keg player to replace the factory Porsche head unit and also be able to take my music with me when I switch cars instead of toting around an endless collection of cd's or cd changer cassettes and am quite happy with this solution.

Suggestion
I just pu the Focal 100KP (4") component set in the dash and Focal 136KP (5.25" midrange in the doors (from a split set I found on Ebay).

Am in the process of doing a lil winter work on the cars and one of my projects in the wings has been to upgrade my factory speakers in my 996 C2. I have the enhanced sound speakers and system by Bose I think its the original manufacturere and want to replace the factor speakers and probably add a 4 ch aftermarket amp. No need really to add a subwoofer or anything extensive to the car. I just want good clean bass and clarity which I am afraid the factory system never provided. I have already added a Kenwood headunit (hide away) and10 GIG MP3 Music keg player to replace the factory Porsche head unit and also be able to take my music with me when I switch cars instead of toting around an endless collection of cd's or cd changer cassettes and am quite happy with this solution. Just need some help or advice on the NEXT step.
Any thoughts on those of you who have done an upgrade already or know of a shop in the Northeast area would be helpful. Budget is I would save average but don't want to break the bank either...afterall it's Xmas and any toyz purchased are supposed to be for the kids..not the adults!

I just pu the Focal 100KP (4") component set in the dash and Focal 136KP (5.25" midrange in the doors (from a split set I found on Ebay). Probably should have used the Polyglass 13 KS or the Utopia 5WS in the doors as they are true subwoofers. The speakers soulnd great, even with the standard head unit and amp. I just received a new 6 channel amp but haven't had the time to install it. There are lots of threads on stereo installs, and how to fit the dash and door speakers. I also spent hours searching for the lowest price for the Focals and found on source I can give you which is really low. Unfortunately I had already bought my 100KP's for about $80.00 more than this source.
There is also Rod Birch at

. He specializes in Porsches and can provide a full package, with wiring, instructions, etc. but it is a full price. Soem say you get what you pay for and his packages are supposed to be great.
I got my Focal 100KP's at woofersetc for $389.00. later I found this place
