Wanting to purchase and install the Spd Yellow Seat Belts in a 2001 996. I have done a search and found something about 2002 belts not fitting into a 2001 996. 1 - Does anyone have any advice on this MOD? 2 - Best place to purchase SY Seatbelt 3 - Can a junior-woodchuck mechanic handle it? (ie is it easy to damage anything improtant looks or mechanical?) Thx...

You'll need to take out the rear side panel to access the front belts. Removal of the panel is a bit tricky as there are tabs that can break. It's a little more difficult to do than front door panels. It's not that difficult but you should get some instructions and be prepared to be patient. Check ebay and online dealers such as brandywine, sunset, suncoast for belt prices.
